I have no problems with snipers, I just don't see why people use this useless class.

Here is my take on sniper ultility.

The name of the game is tickets.

If I can kill 10-20 guys in a round and only die once, im a bigger asset than the guy who has 40-50 points but has died 10-15 times. im not running around grabbing flags, but then im not detracting from our ticket count either as a team.

If I just wound a guy, well im using a m95, you can bet if I hit him he has about 2 lines of health to his name and if there isnt a medic around and he splits, he is definately a easy out for one of my team mates down the road.

If I miss, Well you can bet they are looking for me. If thats the case im now occupying Opfors assets so they arent actively shooting at team members or capturing flags.

If I shoot at a copter pilot and miss and he knows whats happening, ive occupied a serious threat on the battlefield (being people usually take a sniper shooting at them personally) and most likely he will spend 5 mins or more trying to hunt me down. (hell last night on dragon pass I had 3 choppers simultaneously trying to hunt me down).

anyone got any other good points to add about the small club of 1 shot 1 kill?

By the way, if you see me Prof.Chaos34, holler at me. I'd like to join a squad that played like we did last night. We are out there, just too few of us.

Yeah. The sniper exists, maybe someday people will learn that you actually have to hold your crosshairs perfectly still for like 2 seconds and you'll hit. Not that hard really. Oh well, guess some people never learn. More kills for us then.

You said what I was saying that we may not be taking flags but we are doing our job helping the team win. Just as you said. I've been overseeing a flag that changes a lot during a game and get a great hiding spot. I cannot tell you how many times I give away the enemies postion to my teammates or occupy them long enough so my infantry can get to the flag and take it back. I had 4 guys looking for me and I picked off two of them by the time my squad got there to finish off the other two guys. I wish I got some sort of credit for that but that is what a sniper does.

I use a sniper ALOT, and I get soooo many points with it, not by padding or healing or supplying but by getting many assault people in a firefight. In Sharqi Peninsula I can take out about 25-30 people in a 32 man map with it. In Karkland it can be usefull too. I dont reccomend using other snipers than the m95 though.
