he was correct above, you need 30 titan attack bonus score, if you don't see that message come up you did not get a point, also correct destroying titan guns does not count.

HAHAHA. This is one of the funniest reply I've read in a while! :laugh: Maybe it's because I haven't been around for a while... I just recently came back to 2142 after a while of playing different single-player games.

Anyway, I hadn't previously tried a lot for titan attack/defense gold and I just got the titan defense gold a few days ago. Imagine! I was playing as commander. I'm not the type of commander who's fighting and using vehicules, but there was no one to defend our titan, so I started 'nade spamming and soon enough I got it (I know! Cheap tactic, but a commander does what he can when he's alone to defend )

As for Titan attack, I know there are many posts on these forums regarding it, but if some of you buddies could tell me a bit about your tactics, it would help refresh my memory :)

Go to a Suez server (Timeless, [N)@(M]), stay on top of the Titan and watch them enemy pods raining down and shoot/stab again and again and again and ...

Thanks! I forgot to mention that my combat skills aren't astonishing, so in a face-to-face fight in the open, I lose more often than win. That's why tactic is important to me Any other suggestions, I'll apreciate.

Top of the Titan?

Pack the clark! I have recently found that the clark on the top of the Titan is a beast! My one on one fighting isn't the greatest either however, the clark when up on the titan seems to help a lot! :yay:

Its not about a face to face fight, as they come down in pods they're stunned for a second which is the perfect time to off them via the method of your choice. Just look up and see where they are about to land, I like to drop to a knee when I know where they are going to land or get ready to knife. This is one of the reasons I think its important to be able to control pods better and why I like to walk out of the frontdeck and over the Titan vs podding.

I just wish I had had my time requirement since I roamed on titan defense and ended up with 50 kills. And true enough when I'm going to try to get it done when I meet the time requirement it's going to be very very hard with my luck. Lately I have noticed that I really am quite good at one on one and that I thank for my G7.

I don't play this game as regularly as I use to, mostly do to the fact I'm now on slower internet at work (using my cellphone). Realizing the only reason your loosing a fire fight because of lag is a real turn off, also a good reason I had to come up with smarter methods of fighting. I'm also just recently coming on here again out of a mixture of boredom and interest in any news on BF3, noticed newer info tends to show up here first even if its regarding BF2 which I've gone back to playing more frequently. Sniper rifles feel so much better in BF2 and all the detection gear in BF2142 really annoying, I like to sneak around maps and the gilly suit is just so cool.

Yeah I miss BF2 a bit too. I intend to get back to it too, once I reach Brigadier General in 2142, Which will be very soon :)

One of the many reasons BF2 is garbage. Portable AD would have helped the balance out tremendously instead of relying on some crap little AD site that can be bombed in a pattern.

I should know, it was part of my routine to keep the other side down. I knew exactly when each plane and the heli would spawn as well as the count on the turrets. We had that down to a science for competition -especially if the map was Oman.

Yeah I must admit that I don't intend to take it as seriously with BF2 as with 2142. Jet whoring, boring indeed! If you're still around and play from time to time, you can add me in your buddy list. Guys, off topic. But yeah, bombers suck, then again if your in the middle of nowhere to get a position for a shoot, jets don't really bother you. Infact jets get ppl out of tanks for you. I have to admit Wake doesn't offer alot of breathing room for avoiding bomb runs.

As I said if your not a good head on player, knife 'em in the back or shoot 'em from a long ways off.

Shooting out Titan guns counts, you get a few points for each one you take out. To earn a Gold Titan Combat Badge you need 60 hours in Titan Mode and a Titan Attack score of 30 in a round, it shouldn't be 40.
