me and a few clan mates got banned by these p***ies a few weeks ago... feel free to beat rip on the ground, and win the match, do NOT make ANY attempts to shoot CK00 out of his gunship or you'll be banned... first member got him with a saaw (he got banned 1st), then we started the gunship fight, after the first pass of the dogfight, we got banned... apparently Rip bans a lot of people from there server, cause we hit their website, and most of the forums were "why was I banned"

oh, my official reason for being banned was high ping, despite pinging 58ish at the time.... no surprise that an SC came from RIP


as for other stupid rules... saw a BF2 server where snipers could not place claymores near a flag, and are not allowed to attack/defend a flag with their sniper rifles

No APMs.
No spawn beacons.
No moving past so-and-so flag.
No commander.
All vehicles are reserved for clan members.
No vehicles until a certain amount of players join.
No capping out the enemy.

These are only a few of the dumb rules I've seen.

- using a beacon out of context results in ban

- people using voss must show proof of a topic they have created that indicates their knowledge that the voss is a noob weapon

- you cannot use nouns over voip

- dont shoot a player under the age of 15 in the back, results in perma ban

I remember a BF2 server that was run by Something Awful goons who would kick/ban for senseless and arbitrary reasons (as a joke). This kind of sounds like that. :laugh:

There seems to be more bad server admins than good... kind of a bummer... there should be set rules for all servers... not this change on the fly to suit the server admins needs... Its so nice to get in a server with rational folks... rare but cool... lol

I got kicked first for high ping then I joined again and he was screaming something about "that SAAW f@*got" then I got kicked then perma-banned for "high ping" again.

U think? I think people that swear are probably just 12 years old trying to impress themselves cause they got killed by someone vastly better than them. Swear filters are there for a reason.

I ban those blatantly swearing. I have kids and no way would I want them swearing because they think its acceptable to swear in games as some goon (assumedly) like you do.

I think daftest rule I have seen is No armour on Conquest maps which sadly seem quite numerous lately.
