Yeah, but they can keep the bug where you get rewards all over again. I like that bug, thats probably the ONLY bug I like because that bug gave me like 8000 career points over 3 rounds.

I avoi the recruit bug. It bit me 2 times but now im paranoid it will get me reset

If we take what we learned from BF2 and apply it to 2142 I think a pretty fair assumption for a patch release is in about 3 months....


....then a hotfix 2 month later to fix all the major glitches that said patch created

The 1.4 servers are still crashing every 15 minutes or so - don't expect a patch anytime soon. They still haven't fixed the disconnect on first time server select bug yet and that has been happening over a month now!

be patient...maybe they finally are trying to release a patch that doesn't create 10 new bugs...or maybe not...

Actually I wouldnt mind if this game was content subscribtion.
Say $2 a month or something like that.
That way there could be a steady flow of new content for everybody, so the playerbase wouldnt be divided.

Ppl refuse to pay $10 for ns. I doubt they will want to pay 2 or 3 bucks every month. Personally i wouldnt mind another booster.

I have been gone for 3 weeks and still no 1.4 yet?

Its either:

Dice are doing a good job on the patch and wan it perfect

OR

The patch is a crewy piece of **** and Dice are having problems

I kind of like it when the patch takes so long to make that when it finally gets here, i go like "wow. I didin't even remember that there was a patch on the way. cool!"

What i don't like is that once patch gets here, the forum will be flooded with threads like "OMG i can't believe it took so long and they still didn't fix the ***** bug"

It's funny, there was so much bellyacheing about $10 for NS, but I don't know anybody who doesn't have it. Hell, I got 3 copies myself.

I certainly hope they don't delay the patch for such a thing; that bug only costs me about 10 seconds of play time each time I start up BF2142.

I remember a BF2 patch (1.2?) that took long time and was the one who screwed most of the original gameplay feeling and turned the game more slow paced...

To start with it was a minor annoyance but it is becoming a pain in the neck to have to reselect a server every time you start the game. This really should have been fixed weeks ago and I can't understand why it hasn't

However this is not the bug I am referring to. 1.4 servers will crash periodically and often. It's becoming quite rare to actually get to the end of a round on a 1.4 server. If they released the patch and this bug had not been fixed - lot's of EA executives would be hanging from lamposts by their testicles!

I can second that. I played 1.40 for a couple of weeks before realising that no-one else was. I almost gave up on 2142. You barely got through a full round a day without it crashing and losing all the points.

1.25 isn't much better for me, with lots of mid-round "lost connections" on the EA AU Game Arena Servers, but I think this may be ISP connection related
