WHo is having problems connecting the first time?

Count me in on 1.25. I am pretty sure it started after I was having to resolve the PB/ad fix (delete file that was causing game to freeze during a map load).

Sorry to repeat what most people have already said, but I'm glad it's not just me that's experiencing this problem - I've been thinking for weeks that it's my router messing me about but perhaps it isn't.

I'm getting the problems described above (Can't always connect the first time / disconnect after loading, doesn't even load sometimes & DC when I try and join a server) but I'm also getting a strange problem when a lot of the time I have to update my server list 3+ times before a lot of servers show up; the first couple of times only a few show up with 0 pings... Any ideas?

Lost connection almost every time I join a server
once played on 1 server, going to other server it give me a pb.exe error popup, I dont crash so I can load in after I clicked on 2142 in the tray

Tryed to make a video of this because it does happen everytime i join a server for the first time but fraps cuts out the vid when i connect

Damn if I didn't get home last night and just click on a random server (to get the message and refresh out of the way real quick) AND IT TOOK ME STRAIGHT TO THE SERVER and I started playing.

What is killing me is I have a customer link on my desktop that launches me into my servers straight away, and now that this started over the last month my links don't work because of the disconnect message, then click again and i'm in. Pissing me off. Crap game...

I have the same problem, I usually try to join some random server then join the server I want.

As for a fix....I have no idea

I've had the first time disconnect problem for weeks. It seems to have fixed itself this afternoon.

I, too, noticed the problem after installing the beta. I reverted but that didn't fix it.

I have the problem as well. i contacted EA and they so far seem to think it's on my end, but I disagree (if it was only me, then yes they would be right, but as it seems, there are problably 100's or more having this problem).

so here is what they said: Do a UOTrace and see what looks wrong. see if there are packet losses or pings well over 300, contact my ISP and let them know there are problems, check my firewall.

well, problem is NOT on my end. No packet loss, no high pings, no firewall interference, etc. I do appriciate their help though, someone one actually responded on a Suday and they do seem to be trying. however, I feel they are trying to blame my computer connection as the culprit, whereas it is clearly not.

anyway, if I can get it resolved through EA"s help, i'll post the fix.

Same problem - been having it for weeks. Also lots of 'there is a problem with your connection' and 'your connection to the server has been lost' just lately!

I spoke too soon - I joined the first time on a couple of occasions. The bug came back after that.

yes i have this too. first connect attempt after starting the game will always fail, 2nd will succeed
