Influx of snipers with amazing accuracy, is it just me?

Yes there are some good snipers out there and yes there are those using cheats. I have run across one particular player who is definitely using some kind of aimbot because he can headshot me 5 times in a row beyond the fog limit. I used some 'triangulation' techniques (raised my head at different locations to see where the shots were coming from) to find he was headshotting me from at least 30 meters BEYOND the fog limit on camp G.

He was on the roof by the flag at harbor and I was popping up in the two tall towers at toll station. Right before the headshot I could see the bullet trail coming from beyond the fog. If he can repeatedly headshot someone beyond the fog without seeing them then he's using a cheat.

Over the last few weeks I've noticed a marked increase in snipers, so one can only presume more snipers equates to more sniped deaths.

Play single player on easy. They never cheat and are really easy to kill. Playing against other people is just way too hard because everyone who is not you is quite simply a hacker.

Also a true story, if for some reason* I play single player, I spend the entire round Jihad Jeeping. Those bots never complain.... suckers.

I'm by no means an expert sniper but I have managed to kill soldiers beyond my view distance before, simply by aiming for the diamond that has shown up on my Netbat. However I must admit I haven't managed to do this 5 times in a row.

Yeah I have heard of other snipers that can also headshot beyond the fog limit using the netbat like you do (I can't do it myself:shock:) but this guy never missed. I've gone sniping on Camp G pretty often so I know that map inside out so when someone headshot me I can pretty much figure out their location from the sound and direction of the bullet based on where I was. With this guy I could not even hear his shots which was very unsual for Camp G because it would mean he was shooting from beyond the fog limit. That's why I had to sacrifice my head a couple of more times that round just so I could see the bullet trail and sure enough: a thin bright streak came from beyond the fog straight to my forehead every single time.

I can easily shoot people in the head whilst they are running. Its quite simple with practice. Just aim in front of them they run into the bullet. Its taken me a while to get good with this but i dont think many are cheating. There are just some excellent snipers out there now.

I love the running shot as the guy has no idea whats hit him.

I get 20-30 kills most rounds with the Zeller.

I agree some of the head shots I have suffered in the last week have been almost impossible (ie being on the back of a fav going at full pelt...I noticed Ive been sniped alot in the last week ;which aint normallt the case..

Sorry but this is not impossible. A bullet travels faster than a FAV. I got someone driving yesterday he was coming straight at me and i hit him with a head shot.

When people are really good people assume its cheating. Personally the sniper rifle is the most difficult to master.

In our clan we have a member called Snpr_Moz he is currently ranked #3 in the world with the Zellar and has an accuracy of over 60% when he is against you, you know it, your happily running along then "Boom Headshot" your watching the "Critical Wounded" screen lol, he is the best sniper i have ever seen/played against and he doesn't cheat, he is just a very experienced sniper and knows when to/not to fire, and he rarely misses, but give him an assualt rifle and i will take him out all the time, the point of this is, once you sue one kit so long, you become an expert with that, and there are some people who only play Sniper and have become unbelievably good at it.

Moz is actually a case-in-point, it's not uncommon for him to tag me in the head, from ridiculous ranges or when moving erratically.

But he occasionally plays assualt and in comparison is pretty awful.

Now, if he was aimbotting you'd expect Moz to be landing impossible shots with the Voss as well. Just doesn't happen...

Everyone, won't be legit, but there are some guys out there that just are that good.

a couple of years ago i would watch all of the Halo 2 vids of the insanely good snipers. after seeing what those guys could do with the clunky noob stick there is no doubt in my mind that there are some truelly L33t players out ther actually taking n00bs to school with a mouse a keyboard which are un-arguably easier to use.

Halo 2 actually had a sort of auto aim function built in to the Sniper zoom so that most players would only have to drag the scope over the enemy or close to it without any real presicion, this is removed in Halo 3 however so theres a lot of people with their craptacular thumbsticks that cannot shoot at all

As for 2142 snipers, after the rapid fire awp that was the l9 in bf2, i have recently begun whoring the Moretti which is the win, and i have mowed countless numbers to a point that i no longer whip out the Lambert and jihad in but turn into my #1 enemy the sniper, except i can actually shoot stuff unlike the vast majority of other snipers i come across whose main function is to usually select Apms, press fire, then die

I've been accused a few times of using an aimbot when shooting a running target, normally by beginners. I seem to remember when i started playing and getting owned all the time thinking people must be cheating when in reality they are just better than me.

I am pretty hopeless with other guns as my stats show only too well.

I have my sniper rank down to 214 now so i hope to get in the top 100 soon

was this by any chance xxxSithxxx ? because this was also happening to me from stupid distances beyond the fog distance. he was sat in same place u said and was just popping heads as people ran out of toll station.... thou he may not have been using an aimbot cos he missed my head a few times (like 1 outer4) so mite have cheated by disabling fog......but still VERYY iffy.

i like to think that im one of the good snipers out there....i usually land headshots 85% if people are still or walking....but when sprinting hitting a head shot is 30%....

yeh there has been an increase in head shot snipers, but i think that it could just be that people are getting better mayb?

ME> him. And I had a ****ty 298 ping. My internet was on crack, and he got my tags cause of it. But I still went 9-3 with killing him, 5 head shots, and he got 1 on me. But when we both see each other, I would say I am two times faster on the draw then he is.
