ME> him. And I had a ****ty 298 ping. My internet was on crack, and he got my tags cause of it. But I still went 9-3 with killing him, 5 head shots, and he got 1 on me. But when we both see each other, I would say I am two times faster on the draw then he is.

you could never snipe proficiently with a 300 ping dude, especially on the draw. i might take up sniping again and get back into the top 50 for the park... being assault has kinda lost its appeal for some reason

I watched that video, and there were some good shots in it. One thing that caught my eye was that, there were no sway in his gun. And that stabilizer bar wasn't moving.

Maybe he had that "always stabilized" bug thingy going. This has happend for me only once. Basically you don't have any sway in your rifle, no matter if you have stabilizer or not.

No it wasn't xxxSithxxx it's a different player but since I don't have 'proof' of a cheat I won't be outing him.

From the top of the building by the flag at harbor even I can make headshots once the enemy has come out to about 4 meters beyond the gate which is just about when they become barely visible.

I can contest there are some really good snipers out there... I'm not bad myself and I've gone against some that are much better the me even. And there has been times I've suspected things... but after watching them long enouph, more often then not, I've noticed that most don't seem to be cheating.

The sniper rifle is a very accurate gun by nature, and in the right hands is very deadly... even more so when somebody has quick reflexes (although I'd have to say that being a good sniper is about much more then that).

So while I'm very sure there are a lot of people that cheat out there (I've witnessed some that where from my viewpoint 100% no doubt cheating), there tends to be more people that ARE NOT cheating then are when it comes to who you think might be cheating. Just don't jump to conclusions. I used to do that myself... it's not worth the trouble (and yes I still hate cheaters... and I could never see the point, as your making the whole point of the game pointless). If you think they are cheating.. watch them closely... get any proof you can, see if you can actually get an admin maybe to take notice.... i

If you just yell out "cheat" (I still do sometimes but then when I do that I have no intention to bother to try and catch him, cause im tired of it and I'm lazy at this point).... most people will dismiss it and say your just a noob or something... even if your damn sure he's up to something. No, if you want results try to find something about him you can point out to www.rulesofcombat.com or EA or the admin or something... then try to get them to do something about it.... quietly... trust me it works a lot better. I should know from experience. :P

Yeah I have heard of other snipers that can also headshot beyond the fog limit using the netbat like you do (I can't do it myself:shock:) but this guy never missed. I've gone sniping on Camp G pretty often so I know that map inside out so when someone headshot me I can pretty much figure out their location from the sound and direction of the bullet based on where I was. With this guy I could not even hear his shots which was very unsual for Camp G because it would mean he was shooting from beyond the fog limit. That's why I had to sacrifice my head a couple of more times that round just so I could see the bullet trail and sure enough: a thin bright streak came from beyond the fog straight to my forehead every single time.

I ran into something similar to this before. There is a such thing as a no fog hack and it sounds like it was coupled with an aimbot. Cheaters pay for this program.

I would recommend a well adminned server and bring anything fishy like this to them so they can watch for themselves.

Actually, there IS such thing as a no fog hack... and is actually something easier to do then to make an aimbot.

Um, but there WAS fog in BF2... and there was a no fog hack in BF2 as well. Most of the fog in BF2 was very far off... except on Karkand it was much shorter range before things faded into fog (and a few other maps I think).

Far as I know there has been fog in EVERY BF series thus far.

No, but if you know anything about graphics hardware (I do as I work in the grpahics industry) then you know it's easier to code a workaround in Direct3D for that then to code an aimbot that has to use a the Direct3D information as well as code for its own tracking purposes. It's not hard to figure out if you know anything about this stuff (coding and hardware, not about the hacking itself).... personally I know nothing of the actual code they write for the hack itself... they usually hook the memory footprint of the game somehow... but I don't know even remotely how they do that.

I'm 100% against hacks.... so if I knew anyone that wrote them personally.. I'd probably tell him to stop his bs crap... and if he didn't (like I was a friend of his even) stop, I'd probably report him.... even if he was a friend.

P.S. You originally had "...there is no such thing...", least I'm pretty sure you did.. I double checked before responding :P If it's a typo no biggie man, why you get defensive over that?

Only a noob would think that stats are a good example of player skill. Plus you're a sniper, hardly something to boast about. I used to snipe when i was feeling lazy and wanted an easy game.
