Influx of snipers with amazing accuracy, is it just me?

That is lot of kills... How many players there were? Since in Fall of Berlin(64 player full server) i have seen that many kills and under 10 kills is really good APC crew or a glitcher(s).

I saw one glitcher few days ago hit around 75+ kills and only 1 death in Fall of Berlin... Ppl tried to votekick him, but as usual they didn't work...

was 48 on 64 player map, the one where everyone moans about people roofcamping... one of the spawns is called square i think? anyways the apc crew never stuck around to get any single huge score, and i was definitely revived a few times along the way. might be able to find a battlerecording of it...

edit: actually its not got a spawn called square, the other snowy one with an apc and walker each. oops

I agree some of the head shots I have suffered in the last week have been almost impossible (ie being on the back of a fav going at full pelt...I noticed Ive been sniped alot in the last week ;which aint normallt the case..

just remember that if you are ever still for a second you have a high chance of being popped, and if i could play as well as i can imagine some people are able to, then this must be their standard. beyond that, assuming that a sniper has distance and safe flanks, his only mission is to pull off those shots on moving vehicles and on moving targets. if you meant that you were sniped by someone in a moving fav, that was either insanely lucky or maybe he wasn't ur man?

i have never seen an aimbot, although i suppose they must exist.

Bad luck? I have a real tough time being sniped. I take it as a good thing =P
Many times I sniped where I have ~20 health left but now that I am trying to get my gold Assault it isn't a problem.

Cheats... Best bet is to find a good server that monitors for these activities, participates in punksbusted MBL and MD5 checks, like mine LOL, no but serious there are many out there.

This will aid in the reduction of exploiters/cheaters. Mark that as your favorite and only play there. Jumping around from server to server I too find this, thus I decided I would rather AFK in my own server to seed it than go around getting angry over the ammount of cheats/exploiters out there on the publics.

Cheats are possible, but I don't think there's an epidemic. The advice from Gilmore is spot on though. There are about 900 caught cheaters from 2142 at Punksbusted that can't get on my servers or Gilmore's or any other server that is a punksbusted member.

You can check if your favorite servers are punksbusted.com members by going to www.punksbusted.com and entering the IP and port in the checker on the home page. If the server is streaming then you are about as protected as you can hope to be from cheating. If the server is not then ask the admins of that server to join punksbusted.com or find a server to play on that is already a member.

Check that thread (from media section), and watch the killer sights video.

You might be a victim of that.

I have played around 250 hours with Zeller. And i think that i have only once shot enemy from the back seat of FAV(F3). It was purely lucky shot, quick aim, shot and killed the back seat dude.

But i have shot countless times enemies from FAV what ain't moving.

But there is some really good snipers out there who can shoot those headshots, and it's almost unbelieveable.

So i agree with VT Nerd, i don't think there is anykind of hacker epidemic going on. Ppl just have gotten to a server with someone who really can shoot with sniper rifles.

Eh...depends on where the sniper is really, if you're moving directly away from him, you're an easy shot regardless of you running or not, same with FAV's, I can snipe the driver if he's coming right at me. I'm not so good that I can reliably hit anyone while they're running right across me, but I suppose there must be people that good, so yeah, there should be some. But an "influx" of them? I dunno

I got 3 headshots in a row, 2 people were dropping off a building and 1 was dolphin diving proning on the top of it.

I'd love to say I meant to hit them in the head, but they were just very very lucky shots.

Actually, headshots of the driver and gunner in a FAV that isn't moving are some of the easiest to get.

Also, I agree with VT Nerd that there isn't any epidemic. As the game gets older players are always getting better. More than once we have had some insanely good players on our server that you would swear were cheating. Then you take Punkbuster screens of them, follow them around, and find out that they aren't hacking, they're just really good.

a couple of years ago i would watch all of the Halo 2 vids of the insanely good snipers. after seeing what those guys could do with the clunky noob stick there is no doubt in my mind that there are some truelly L33t players out ther actually taking n00bs to school with a mouse a keyboard which are un-arguably easier to use.

Play single player on easy. They never cheat and are really easy to kill. Playing against other people is just way too hard because everyone who is not you is quite simply a hacker.

Nope, not just you. Got one kicked and banned the other day for cheating. It's holiday time in the UK (and perhaps elsewhere) and I've noticed the BS level has rocketed over the past few weeks.
