Left 4 Dead Preview Part Deux

Remember the Left 4 Dead preview offered up by the Left 4 Dead 411 website a while back? I'll give you a minute to get caught up.

Time's up. Part two of their massive preview is now ready for public consumption. This part takes a look at the Infected side, the game's audio and graphics, and in addition to the eleven page part two preview, there are new screenshots to be viewed. No detail has been spared!
We have many more stories and experiences that still, even almost 2 months after playing, we can both vividly remember. That is exactly what Left 4 Dead as a co-op game offers - not just a fragfest, but an amazingly thrilling, heart-pounding, difficult and unique experience that you'll be playing and talking about for a long, long time.
I chose to quote the last paragraph in the massive preview. Why? There were just so many things of interest I just couldn't pick one that would do the news post justice. Seriously, go read the preview and see for yourself!

They did a really good job with the preview I felt... it really is pretty solid and in-depth, and I even like the pages stylistically. Definitely worth the read if you're really debating whether to pick this game up or not. The mspaint strategies could use a bit of work, hehe, but they do the job and are quite amusing. :)

One more thing... I'm curious after reading this... what infected monster sounds like the most fun to you? I think I'm leaning towards the smoker myself, but there are some tempting features of the others as well...

Looks fantastic, looking forward to release this summer.
So you're sitting there, swearing at yourself and praying that you can get that tongue back in so you can turn tail and run
Ah, last Friday night if I'm not mistaken.

The MS Paint picture of the boomer puking on the stick figure survivors made me chuckle.

"If you lock a door, the doorknob doesn't work. The zombies solve this problem by scratching, clawing and bashing at it like real zombies would do."

            Real zombies? Haha.

Great preview though. I'm definitely pre-ordering this game when its put up on steam.

My favorite stick figure drawing was the one with the hunter jumping right in front of the survivor (instead of on his head) and getting smashed to a pulp immediately. Don't ask me why, but just the whole awkward "um... I guess that jump really didn't work, crap!" moment right before getting annihilated is incredibly comedic to me. :)

I'm a cautious consumer, so I'll probably wait until I get more feedback from the general community, but this is definitely looking like a contender for my hard-earned gaming funds.

                Zombies are very real.

Oh, yes. I've killed them a-plenty.

Also, it pissed me off when they called 28 Days Later a fucking zombie movie in the video preview. Seriously, what the hell is that shit?

Also also: I'm probably leaning on the boomer. I could see so much trouble being caused for the whole team if even one member is careless.

They had zombie like characteristics but from what I've heard, they weren't zombies. They were not the walking undead, they just had some disease or whatnot.

Correct, some kind of "hate" virus iirc. Thought it was super, haven't seen the sequel.
