Another easy way to increase you K/D is to get revived alot because when you are revived from "critically injured" you do not get a 'death' point since you didn't die.

Get into or start a squad with at least a couple of medics with defibs and stay close together. If the squad keeps on reviving each other you should end up with a pretty low 'death' count.

I was curious as to what the actual average K/D ratio would be. So, I took a look at the stats of the fellows I've collected dog-tags from, as well as the players on my buddy list and heres what I found.
(averages from the top 44 career point players in my collection)

      1.02 Average

      1.41 Above average

      0.74 Below average

The top 44 players combined have an average K/D ratio of 1.02.

Eighteen of the 44, have a above average K/D ratio, combined would be 1.41.

Twenty six of the 44, have a below average K/D ratio, combined would be .74.

Only two players of the 44 have a K/D ratio higher than 2.0 (3.04 and 2.12, respectivly).
The player with the highest K/D ratio, had a kill steak of 44. Over 1000 kills with the Titan guns and nearly 1000 kills with RDX.

The lowest player had a K/D ratio of .38 (poor guy). Oddly enough, he was NOT the lowest scoring player.

Most of the kills were by way of the Voss, 100s of thousands (stopped keeping track, after the top ten)

      Intersting -

Doesn't make my .93 ratio look so bad now.

Haha play for fun, if people did that, they wouldn't have skill stats in their sigs, yes guilty as charged.

It just had to be said.

Dude, don't worry about the KDR. Just play for fun. Who honestly cares about what your KDR is OR your stats.

No one cares about them, but it is nice to look at them and see how you play at certain things (I definately don't care cos I only ever play 2142 as secondary to CSS, so don't have the time to care!)

My KD ratio was about 1.27 after the first few months of play, but some determination and tactful play with assault (voss/krylov) helped me stay alive and get frags. I'd also suggest finding a few friends to play with and chat on vent, then you can get them to res you & work more as a team to keep you all alive

i don't care much about stats EXCEPT for kdr. but, the kdr depends on the type of play you do.

i'm a ground pounder, on conquest maps... and was thrilled once i got over a 2.0 kdr doing mainly this. i have a ton of respect for any ground pounder who gets this or better!

but... you have people with huge kdr's, but you see that they're a walker/apc/gunship/titan whore.... and their kdr doesn't impress me. in fact, usually i wonder why they're not higher when whoring vehicles.
