We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Always know where your enemies are. Sniping in secluded places will get you more kills then deaths. I play conquest because usually I can get more kills then deaths. Also keep moving, if you don't you're just supplying another head for snipers.
Good advice from the above. Enjoy playing, and like me, just live with dying a lot! Sounds a bit weird, that: "live with dying"... Well, you know what I mean.:)
There's no real magic to it and everyone (who wants to) has a different way of raising their K/D but the basic idea is STAY ALIVE. It may sound like a no brainer but try playing a few rounds with the specific idea of staying alive for as much as possible and you may see a difference in your k/d. How to stay alive longer is different under different scenarios so that's just something you'd have to learn by trial and error. By playing it a little safer you may find that your kills-per-round will go down... but your deaths-per-round would gone down more... which turns into ... a higher k/d.
With that in mind here's a few techniques that I have found useful:
You need a medic!!!!
If you're a medic heal yourself constantly, if you move from place to place the first thing you should do when you stop is drop down your medic kit and while you're running have your medic kit in your hands (since you can't run and shoot anyway). If you're not a medic then make sure you're always within the healing radius of somebody else's medic kit. Keep in mind that it's the kit you're looking for not the medic himself since you can not rely on the medic noticing (or caring) that you need some healing.
Learn the weapons!!!
Each primary weapon has it's own firing characteristic but usually quick burst in succession can kill the enemy much faster than a full burst. Again, this may seem like a no brainer since everyone talk about using quick bursts but you won't really appreciate the difference until you really master the quick burst.
Use armor!!!
Armor against infantry is no competition so that's what you'll do... be in a tank, walker, or APC and concentrate on mowing down infantry. Don't go against other armor since the most you'd get is 1-2 kills for a lot of work. When you're in a tank stay far back and use the zoom; you can pick off the enemies at up to 150 meters easily and even beyond that if your aim is good and the network lag is not too bad. Be an engineer so you can keep your armor alive longer!!!
Titan guns!!!
If the titan is in a good location then spam the heck out of the ground forces with the titan guns (be an engineer so you can repair the guns). If the titan don't move then don't bother with the titan guns until your own shields are down... you can try to pick off the enemies as they try to board with fully loaded transport or APC... lots of multi-kill opportunities there.
Do not be a gunner in an air transport!!!
These are nothing but a death trap unless you are flying with people who knows exactly how to position the transport for you to get a good target.
Be a chicken!!!
Yes be a chicken meaning that let's say the round is not quite over but you happen to have a good k/d up to that point... then find a safe and happy place to sit the rest of the round out or maybe stay far back and heal or resupply your teammates but stay away from the actual action yourself.
Raising K/D, contributing to teamwork, and just having fun may not all be possible at the same time so mix it up and find your own balance.
Luckily for you you're still relatively early in your 2142 career so it's easier to effect your k/d at this point (since your number of kills and deaths are not too high yet).
I play very regularly and I've been slowly raising my k/d from 1.7 to 1.93 (while playing a balanced game) over a 5 months periods so understand that it is going to be a very slow process. There are shortcuts you can take (not cheats or hacks) if all you care about is your k/d but these are quite frowned upon by the community so I won't bring those up.
Whore Titan gun,
Tank,
Walker,
APC,
and bunnyhopping RDX,
also remember to spam PK rockets,
jeep jihad on all enemy armor,
Heck, why not ram them as well.
When you start to get kick votes,
you know you're doing right.
But also remember,
to die less and die harder.
I used to live by the "Play for fun, don't worry about it!" slogan, but two months ago I came to a shocking realization: my K/D R was at 8.7. I knew that I was a much better player than that, so I reflected. How did my K/DR get so bad? There were a few contributing factors.
1: This is my first FPS aside from SW Battlefront 1&2
2: Because of #1, I REALLY sucked during the first few months.
3: Because of #1 & #2, I attacked the titan. Alot.
Anyway, I then began the slow and Painful journey to a better K/DR. At the time I had around 1500 More deaths than kills (OMG!)...
Anyway, I then decided to care as much as I possible could about my K/DR. Every round I played, I would pay close attention to how I was doing. I wouldn't go Ramboing in towards the enemy, I would crouch when turning corners, I would improve my aim... Pretty much, I focused as hard as I possible could at becoming a MUCH better player. It wasn't fast, easy, or FUN getting it back up, but after about a month and a half of trying, I am at a 1.2 K/D R. Its not awesome, but it is better :p It goes up a little every day, as I strive to become the best player I can become.
I wouldn't worry about it mate. I used to be anal about my KDR but now I realise that I'm the only person who cares. The other 2,345,712 BF players really don't care about your stats. So with that in mind, enjoy the game and play to WIN! Once you start playing to win the game takes on a new dimension, well it does for me.
