The Baur does more damage than the Voss at all ranges. At over 70 meters, the Voss's 2.5 deviation is extremely blatant, where as the Baur's 2.0 is quite manageable. In fact, the Voss's 2.5 base deviation is noticeable, to me at least, at ranges of 25 meters and more. I don't know who you guys play with or how good they are, but honestly, my buddies, ex-clan mates, etc., don't have any problem dealing with Vossers. In fact, it kind of befuddles me that the Voss is getting so much attention lol. The Krylov is an all around more versatile gun IMO anyways. The extra 10 shots in the clip is useful as a sort of grace to miss some, and gives it that extra kill or two in CQB.

The new SCAR-11 is going to be complete ownage. Improved deviation and less recoil = laser.

I must say I am anxious to try it out myself in its final build. It may go from being a Baur Lite to a serious competitor.

I think it was already a solid gun that could perform at all ranges. Sure it got a bad rep, but most people didn't use it outside of when they were new to the game. I was the same... thought the thing was horrendous. After I refined my Baur skills, I gave the SCAR-11 a shot and was quite surprised. It's accurate, powerful, and IMO, it is the most consistent of all the AR's in that you never really have to compensate for much of anything at any range. At longer ranges, you can still 2 - 3 shot burst without the deviation of the Krylov and Voss while you're not relegated to single-shot, and at closer ranges you still fire bursts, just longer ones.

This SCAR-11 though sounds like it's going to have some extreme point-click accuracy at all ranges. News on the streets is there's going to be a Voss/Krylov nerf, which I hope isn't true. There's nothing wrong with those guns :/

I wouldn't mind an adjustment to the falloff distance of the Voss, just to make the distinction between the rifles crystal clear and solid. Aside from that, I don't think any AR, even the SCAR, needs any changes right now. I'm with you in that I never gave the SCAR a fair shot, and haven't really gone back to it since my first days of the game. Will be interesting to see what they do to it and if it'll be too unbalancing.

I like the SCAR just because it's one of those underdog guns that you don't see anyone above the rank of Corporal using. Everyone else uses the Baur or Voss (although I've noticed a lot more popularity with the Krylov lately) after they unlock them. It's not every day you see a Brig running around with a SCAR and Herzog combo.

And I don't think the Voss or Krylov are getting nerfed, but I've heard it's more of a nerf by proxy (for lack of a better term). Making the SCAR better will increase its popularity, so (theoretically) fewer people will use the Voss. That's my take, anyway.

All I can say is I can't wait for that Clark ROF increase. Some may say it will make it overpowered in CQC, but FFS it's a shotgun. If it's not brutally lethal in CQC then it's not good for anything. I got defib-killed twice today because my Clark didn't kill the medic in one hit and he ran up and zapped me (despite my effort to barrel roll out of the way :p ) before I could get that second shot off. That increased firing rate is gonna be soooooo nice. :yay:

It makes me want to pick up the Voss again. Specs doesn't say anything about the chaos on the battlefield and coordination/reflexes of the player.

On a 64 player server with ~35 people playing assault, I've found on average that only about 5 people (including myself) are using the Baur, the rest are either using the Krylov or the Voss. The Krylov could destroy a planet its so powerful.

whers the skill in takin two shots from where the guy cant see u eh??

tis a ***** gun, its a glorified sniper rifle. No wonder why everyone who uses it complains about the voss, cos there are wimpy snipers thinking there actually assault players.

Besides the gun u use doesnt matter, bf is a thinking game, a positioning game, not top trumps between guns.

use wtever gun u like and dont complain if someone else is using a better one, u can use the "better" gun too.

this debate has been going on far too long and its a load of bollocks tbh. all guns have different strengths and weaknesses, u just gotta find them.

The same reason the Baur is so accurate is the same reason people complain about the Voss.

I use the Voss because it works great at close to medium range and can be used to pick off targets at long range.

It works far better than any other assault gun so I use it.
