 Jihad jeep can be countered.
Once you observe that there are a bunch of people dedicated in this tactic, you can try to allure them into places where there are only limited passages. Put motion mines in those places in the middle of the roads.Comment

Lol. and then they come back and you hope the commander gives you a supply dropComment

Buggies outrun motion mines
And how exactly do you perform this erm.. "counter" from inside a vehicle?Comment

Really? I rarely see that happen, especially when they have to stop and turn in narrow passage.
This only works when you find out that there are three or five people constantly doing that in the whole round. Ocassional jihading won't make much difference to a game, but a lot of jihadists in vehicle-heavy maps such as Shuhia or Sidi plant could make the game lame.
An array of motion mines in the middile of the road can definately stop jihadists because they cannot penetrate the field without blowing up themselves. There are always these kind of passage way where they can't avoid. Try to confine jihadists in open terrain is futile.
As for the bait. You can lay mine first then jump into APC/Tank/Walker later. You can also use your teammates as baits and lay mines in passages near your APC-camping teammate, and wait at the corner with your pilum ready.
Jihad jeep is lame, true, no question about that. I use that a lot and I ocassionally die from that. However, when I sense that there are too much jihadists, I start to lay motion mine liberally to collect kills. One just needs to be cunning in mine laying strategy.Comment

If im playing reco, Ill always put RDX on my own vehicle for self destruct purposes :P, like I have a low life gunship and im being shotdown ill just jump out and when the other gunship passes me boom, ofc, if my gunship is still intact. and ill do that to walkers and tanks if im emp'd and being rdx'd.Comment

I feel the tank is the most susceptible to jihad jeeping. You have one shot and if you switch, there is hardly enough time to gun get in the right position to gun them down. And the tank shots seem to go through FAVs if they are boosting half the time. Anyways, is it just me or does the APC EMP seem to not work on boosting FAVs? I'll see it hit them, even get the indicator, and they'll just keep on going.
What do people think of the idea of putting a delay between exiting a vehicle and pulling out the RDX detonator?
It seems the vast majority of counters so far has been to just not use armor (ala laying motion mines and waiting to ambush)... Even if you do manage to kill them once or twice, they can keep coming at you every fifteen seconds because the FAVs spawn so fast. There is just very little chance you can keep up defending against jihaders while actually engaging in any kind of meaningful combat (say, vs enemy armor or a large squad of engineers).Comment

Guys, I just have one thing to say about all of this "lame" stuff. Yes I hate it when I shoot 4 carefully placed Baur shots at a target and he sprays me with his Voss and I die. But I don't moan that it's "lame". I hate dying to those little RDX hoppers without having a chance to even fire my weapon, but I don't go saying it's "lame". I hate dying to a jihad jeep, but I don't go calling it "lame".
Also, I love jihading and RDX throwing.

It does work, but because of their momentum they keep rolling forward and the effect wears off before they come to a complete standstill.Comment
