Sometimes when I get raped, it may be down to:
"BFBC2, a paradise for cheaters?
.. no i am not taling about Aimbots, Wallhacks or no Recoil.

i am talking about little things:

overlay with a healthbar
overlay with the correct Crosshair for all weapons in all firing modes and gamemodes. (far worse the doting your screan)
removal of Camerashake when hit. (aim stays the same allready, only the camera shakes.)
Removal of ambient noise
removal of ambient GFX effects

these are all things easily made by any of the countless cheat and hack sites, some of those dont even require a actualy cheat or hack but are probably accomplished by simply renaming a couple of files.

none of the above thing add anything to the gameplay, they are all there to creat a false illusion of reality, but are actualy annoying. "

There might be a slight advantage from the "enhancements" you mention here, but I doubt it will make a noticeable difference. Nobody is going to point at you and scream "HEALTHBAR USER! HEALTHBAR USER! BAN HIM!!!!!1!"

What i was trying to get at is that they dont listen to appeals, they are so high up and mighty that their system is floorless that anyone who gets wrongly accused is simply kept quiet and made to look like a hacker with a sob story.

That's funny, I was using the AN-94 when I raped that squad into a ragequit. Ever think maybe he just saw you coming and had good aim?

Killcam was on so we all knew where he was. Even when you moved behind rocks from afar he'll snipe you, he was litteraly killing everyone in our team. Either he was very lucky and checked all directions like mad while headshotting people, either he was cheating. With his K/D I say the latter but I might be wrong. Btw I didn't (and never) say anithing ingame because you can't be sure most of the time.

I was one of the first to complain of hackers/cheaters in BF2
at first - everyone called me a 'whiner' - that I was just getting powned
eventually - it became common knowledge that hackers were rampant
well - I have just started playing BC2 (rank 6)
but I DO have enough game expedience to KNOW when there are hacks
eg
got a sniper scoped on a dude a MAX range, running ACROSS my FOV
get a partial hit - and he turns and one shot kill with a pistol - while still running
(at a range where he probably cannot even see me)
etc etc etc

my solution - just change servers

Sorry, I don't even think it's possible to make a one shot kill with a pistol. But then again it might be possible in HC mode which I don't play.
And, yes, I also think there's a ****load of cheaters online. Which makes me only play on EA servers at the moment where at least regularly you can see the message flashing up that another ****tard was banned - even if only temporarily.

In my time playing (at rank 43) I don't think I have seen a cheater, there was a guy on our server the other day, whoring the M16 while defending on Isla Inocentes and he was doing some pretty weird ****, a lot of people start complaining so I managed to join his squad and watch him on the deathcam

a few people called hacks and he vanished sharpish :/

I have been accused a few times, but what do people expect, I have gone 46-3 on Arica Harbour just mincing through noobs using a GOL, got to about the same score on Laguna Presa with the AN94 etc, hell there are times where I will get 10 UAV kills before I even get shot at, or playing in the tank I can kill billions

hackers are understandable in the right situation, like a dodgy moment but a lot of the time there is a simple explanation

This. Recently I saw several hackusations from the opposite team of someone who was in my squad. I paid close attention to the guy for a while and he was just on a hot streak, definitely not hacking.

I really hate it when someone gets a lucky kill, but is playing terribly otherwise (like KDR below 1), but they still get accused of hacking by some noob with a huge e-pen0r.

Just consider yourself the fortunate one MrChris. I rarely accuse anyone of hacking myself but I've run into a couple of blatant hacker clans in my time of playing.

Just wait and see, it will eventually happen to you. Some hacker will enter the server you are on and blatantly kill everyone on site without any care of people finding out. Those are the hackers who get off on ruining everyones game experience and nothing more. Its not about points for them, its only about interrupting the flow of everything.

This is the essential driving force of most dedicated cheaters. Their sole aim is just to ruin your night. Check out any Griefer clans' websites and you'll see threads about how many bans they've gotten or they'll post the ingame chat log and laugh about how many people are calling them out.

i have seen quite a few hackers actually. most recent was a guy with an aimbot in a bradley. was fun to watch but i felt sorry for the other team.

When in doubt, change a server. There is no point at arguing when: 1. you have no proof; and 2. they just want to piss you off.

Have to say, I had a good run of not running into cheaters in BC2 up until last night.

It was one cheater per team in a packed server. One guy was 155 and 3, the other was apparently only getting started as he had 124 and 4. Ah well, it happens.

I don't get this talk about not knowing for sure if somebody is hacking. After a full round playing against a suspect you know for sure.. There are tons of giveaways. Look at the killcam - does the guy do 90 degree insta-turns while shooting? Did he headshot you 4 times in a game in a situation a human being would be unable to?

The way I observed hackers in BC2 I've seen 2 different hacks so far.. The first aimbot showed up a few weeks ago and was caught up to by PB 1-2 weeks afterward, and everything went quiet for a bit. Now about a week ago another hack showed up, this time aimbot + wallhack. One funny guy was using smoke grenades attacking in a rush map, running in with smoke everywhere and shooting entire defenders team with his wallhack.

What I don't get is what PB is getting paid for. It takes them 2 weeks minimum to ban new hacks, whereas it's very much possible to do it within a day or two max. They already have an auto-updating system in place, all they need is to know that the new hack is out, find its source, and update their PB software accordingly. That would discourage hacking in the first place, if people knew that cheaters get caught on fast rather than slow.
