Im 100% positive this wasnt a rumor as people were sacked because of it and either IGN or PCGamer made an article and commented about it. I wont go into discussion about it now as i have a bias opinion towards PB anyway considering i cant play 5 of the games that run with them due to my "hacking" adventures.

You shouldn't be posting that kind of stuff without being willing to back them up.
This is how baseless rumors starts. Soon some other dude on another forum will state that he saw it confirmed on TGN that PunkBuster are behind hacks, and so on.

Neither google not punkbusters wikipage shows anything about it. You should think an event like that would leave some traces

I have been trying to look through some of the posts from these forums a while ago but cant go back far enough.

As i have already stated its hard for me to comment on anything PB related due to my dismal history with them and therefore my biased opinion.

Yeah, but you already made what is possible the most damaging accusation possible against PunkBuster, so I don't think you need to fear that your bias will make it worse

Like Kalo implied, the human memory is faulty. And I think yours is playing a trick on you.
I have seen the accusations before, but never any reputable source.

No i have never cheated in a game in my life, however PB decided to ban me from 5 of my most played and beloved games. When i appealed i got the same auto message back over 20 times and had to go and buy the games again.

I have no need to damage or insult PB's reputation when i have my own opinion on them, as does everyone else here.

He could have friends on vent pointing out positions. He could have had a lucky moment. Or he could have been just good. Who knows :wee:

People call hacks way too easily. The only time I've ever even considered someone being a hacker is one guy that couldn't stop getting headshots with the burst pistol, and I mean headshots from every bullet in a burst. It was pretty silly but he sucked pretty badly otherwise and I could go on playing as usual. No biggie.

In about an hour of gameplay in a 32 man server tonight I watched around 7-8 people get banned, mostly for "aimbot."

I'm gonna have to disagree with some of you, I personally think that people are NOT accusing of cheat enough. Trust me, there are LOOOAAADS of cheaters out there, MUCH more than you think, the thing is, most of 'em sucks ***, that's why they cheat. Those who are good, AND cheats, those are the ones that people gets mad at.

But I mean don't even think about it and you'll do just fine. Those who really are cheating their *** off are the ones with an obvious aimbot just running around spraying everything down, and those aren't really hard to see.

not trying to start a fight but how do you get banned from 5 different games by PB? People who usually get false banned can get it overturned if they are truly innocent. It's really hard to believe that PB has banned you in 5 diffent games for absolutely no reason.

punkbuster has been working overtime the last few days. I have seen more PB bans in the last 3 days of BFBC2 than i have ever seen with all other battlefield games combined! It's insane when you go into a pbbans streaming servers just how many hackers are getting banned.

The problem is most people are unaware of the ping issues with this game and the fact that if your server inst a powerhouse there is no way you can smoothly support 32 players, period. 90% of the servers out there running 32 man instances just do not have the horsepower or bandwidth to keep up with this game and is causes serious rubber-banding and everyone cries hack. People forget that server providers do not upgrade their equipment every few months like a PC enthusiast, most are running 3 and 4 year old processors.
