That seems to be much better.
I always have the feeling of owning when I reach a 2+ k/d.
Yet, with a k/d of less than 1, I sometimes just need to shut the game down before I begin to question myself. haha

Yes me too xD. I once went sniping on a low players server, and i geted a 14 kd ratio xD , basiclly i killed 14 players and died 1. It was my record Somehow xD

I hated Recon class, never played it except with Saiga. I'm now trying to unlock all bronze stars and I'm basicly owning with sniper rifles and mortar, my K/D is 5:1 most of the time with a proper sniper rifle and my last game was a 14 K/D too (Gol my love)! I feel stupid to have abandoned this class for so much time lol.

yeh I'm currently playing recon as well just to get to 500 kills with the rifles etc

I don't like being the guy that sits on a hill killing 1 or 2 guys, I just don't understand how its fun, its very boring imo

I used to use the Type 88 but I now use the SVU (silence) with a 4x scope and I run into the action popping people in the face, and its a lot of fun

It's not necessarily boring. Today I played sniper and instead of just picking people, I tried for some long-range sniping. Thats actually quite funny, sniping across the whole map.

i've been noticing a disturbing trend lately and i'm led to believe this is because of people being concerned with their "K/D".
NOBODY wants to disarm MCOMs anymore when they're armed! like 10 of the guys on defending side all stand around waiting for someone to go in to disarm it but nobody wants to go in!

I honestly thought that only Engies could go in and disarm them... I've been killing the dudes who arm the bomb and then defending it until someone comes over to disarm. I found out by accident that I could do it as Assault when I was going after the dude who armed it and I saw the "Press E" message pop-up. I was wondering why folks were acting strangely around me... They were probably thinking, "What's this 'tard's problem?" when it was just an issue of noobiness. lol

BTW - I just got promoted to Private. So, I am a nub. =)

the messed up thing about pressing E to arm/disarm is that it often times picks up kits left by the guys who died there.... often times, i'm pressing E and it's picking some kit up instead of arming it and then i get my face blasted.

Yeah exactly, they have to correct that, it's annoying when there's 10 dead guys kits and you can't disarm it.

As for K/D I'm beginning to improve it slowly, I'm at 1.45 and lately I had my share of heroism pin, but well it helps a lot when you have all the weapons and perks and know the maps.

Improving here as well. I find that some of the weapons unlocked later contribute a lot to the K/D.
Today I unlocked the M416 and it just seems so much more accurate and powerful than the other guns. I got a 21/7 K/D ratio the first round I used it and I don't use the GL often.

I platinumed that gun but am now using the 416 to platinum that, I have M16 withdrawal

I have a 2.32 K/D ratio with 9000 kills. And I play really aggressive, that's when you can get these multiple kills. But you have to play smart. And anyone can pull off a 3 K/D as long as your hanging back and being careful but that's not very fun, and you play to have fun right!

My first platinum was AN, followed by M16, during which I had AN withdrawal :O Now I'm thinking of doing it with XM8 (seems somehow better than 416), but it's sometimes sooo frustrating when you can't kill a guy far off you could easily kill with AN or M16.

My kdr was jacked for a while. I let my bro play for a week while on vacation and i come back and it is .7 kdr. took me a week and I am a few hundred in the positive now.

Fellas, the point of this thread is not to say OMG I MUST GET XX KD SO I LOOK PRO.

No, in fact, it defeats the point of game, that is to have fun.

I think, purely personal opinion, anyone with 0.5 kd is considered as the old BF2/2142 1 : 1 kd.

Due to the smaller maps, cramp rooms, and unreliable cover (I went one round just using 40 mm to blast walls :laugh:), it is quite tedious to uphold that 2 kd. Unless you are a camping recon, tank or a chopper user. But I find all of them boring.

I run from room to room with M1 Garand, I am somewhat conservative in my playing style, possibly from my history of tactical shooters such as the Rainbow 6 series. Where 1 or two shot = death with no revival.

I still get owned quite terrible at times.

My worse round I think was 7 and 12 when the teams were uneven and I get killed 2 seconds after I spawn.

This is NOT BF2142 or BF2 where, kd in this game does not matter. It is teamwork teamwork and more teamwork!

I personally stink at all the automatic weapons with high recoil, I stick to pistols and semi-autos such as shotguns and garand.
