You need to read the whole sentence

Note that there are no veteran benefits in the Beta, nor bonus items from the limited edition.

You can also do that with infantry. I had a hill rigged and they were running up it. Shot one with a mounted machine gun and killed two of the three with the explosions.

                I have some questions.

What do i need to type into the settings.ini to force dx 9? "9"?

how do i see my ping in a server (also, in the server browser, every server either shows "999" ping or "-". do other people have that problem?)?

Will you be able to see your own health in the the actual game?

Does health regenerate like in 1943?

Based on twitter from DICE, there will be some kind of regeneration, but you wont be able to see your own health directly.

Shotgun/C4 is extremely powerful from an attacking perspective. Most mcoms are in very cramped spaces and you can very easily drop 1-2 defenders with the shotgun before they can kill you. Throw down 5 C4, and blow the mcom without any further resistance. Then, retreat to a hidden position, drop an ammo pack and repeat with station 2.

This strategy is pretty much unbeatable if you have a squad behind you as well.

                      Old BF trick:
You can pick up the kit of dead soldiers, drop their Ammo/Medkit and swap back to your own kit

                      Veteran status:
You need two registered games to reach Veteran level 1, but currently the demo version of BF2 and BF2142 also count, and the same goes for BF:Heroes which is free.
Note that there are no veteran benefits in the Beta, nor bonus items from the limited edition.
Didnt know the demo for BF2142 counted.. Thanks now I am up to level 4

So I won't get the veteran weapons in release if I only own BF2142? Do I have to install BF2 beta too? Uggh.

You should get it. Right now according to the site you aren't a veteran of anything if you're only playing one game. But once you register BFBC2 as well, you'll be a veteran of BF2142 instead of just a current player.

One prevous game + one current game = veteran of one previous game = veteran level "1"

The spot assist is advantageous. Since using it I found I've really helped the team. I gives" light them up" a whole new meaning. Espescially in the uav in fact in a uav it would be one of it primary objectives. equiping V ALT W in spec3 helps if your a vehicle man

                              FOV settings in release
The released version of the game has build in support for different FOV, but you have to set it up in the config file settings.ini in Documents/BFBC2

Note that this is the vertical FOV (default 55).
                              55 FoV = ~80 horizontal FoV
                              65 FoV = ~90 horizontal FoV
                              75 FoV = ~100 horizontal FoV
                              85 FoV = ~110 horizontal FoV
                              95 FoV = ~120 horizontal FoV

Beware that higher FOV makes it seem like you are moving much faster, but it is an illusion.

I found this gif that shows the various settings:

Are those numbers on that gif vertical or horizontal fov?

Set my FoV to 85 horizontal. Good middle ground setting for cqc and long range shooting.
