    Re: Tips and Tricks

Once the dart is stuck on the vehicle, they're a target until it wears off. I'm not sure how long it lasts, though.
looks like the dart can be removed by reparing the vehicle

Another thing: there is no drop to the tracer dart. It just travels in a straight line.

It's slow, so you have to lead targets by quite a bit. But you can stick darts to stationary snipers with ease and one-shot them with locked rockets like something out of UT.

            Re: Tips and Tricks

The tracer is an "All Kits" unlock. As far as I recall it is for L16, but that has been reduced to L11 in the Beta.

                    Category 6 effects stack
Anything in category 6 can be stacked.

That is to say, if a tank driver has + armor and the tank gunner has +explosive damage, the tank driver will get +explosive damage in addition to more armor. This is because effects "stack" on top of each other for everyone in a vehicle.

But you shouldn't, so stop shelling the objective!

                        Old BF trick:
You can pick up the kit of dead soldiers, drop their Ammo/Medkit and swap back to your own kit

                        Veteran status:
You need two registered games to reach Veteran level 1, but currently the demo version of BF2 and BF2142 also count, and the same goes for BF:Heroes which is free.
Note that there are no veteran benefits in the Beta, nor bonus items from the limited edition.

isn't the garand a veteran weapon or is going to be? not sure if that's the gun, but it's the old WWII era bolt action i think.

Semi-automatic actually. The Beta has it labelled as an unlock for veterans, but the exact requirements are unknown.

The repair tool will slowly destroy enemy vehicles. Useful if you come up behind a low hp tank and you're out of rockets.

Zooming in with the shotguns will give you much better accuracy, but you'll move slower, so use it when you need to engage someone at mid range. You can just spam with the saiga so it doesn't matter, hehe.

Don't underestimate anti-tank mines. Simple as.

I've seen people use AT mines as a trap, putting them on a path where the opposition is most likely to use and a team mate (or them on a TOW) firing an rocket close to it which sets it off.
