Nade spam is a non-issue in BadCompany 2, I have played for hundreds of hours in every BF title other than Modern Combat and nades at the moment are rarely used (although still deadly) and are hardly spam-able.

I agree completely. I have been killed by a grenade exactly once. And that's when it landed right next to me and I was wounded. In fact I'll go so far as to say that they might want to make them a little more powerful because right now they are only of minor use. The 40mm GL has the same issue. Even if I drop a round right next to my target I usually only wound him.

This may not be as big an issue on the PC version because you would have more precise control of where you put it with a m&k instead of a gamepad.

The other thing that realy prevents it is there is no way to instantly rearm your grenades with an ammo pack like in BF2.

I'll take that any day over what MW2 offers in terms of grenade launchers.

I find that I get more kills with the launchers when shooting at buildings. I think they should be a little stronger, but if that would make them even close to spam-able then I'd rather they be left alone.

Speaking of weak weapons, I feel the snipers are rather underpowered sometimes. Albeit I'm terrible with the controller, a mouse and keyboard is severely needed. I have a hard time getting headshots on anything that isn't sitting perfectly still. I haven't found any sniper rifles that are one shot kills to the body though, maybe there is one unlocked. I guess the fast cocking with bolt actions and semi-autos even this out.

well its only beta so if they feel nades and nade launchers are too weak, they'll probably make them stronger.

The grenade launcher in BF2 was a joke. The PK rockets in BF2142 were barely over powered. I think DICE will get it right this time.

I used the M203 in BF2 for taking out DPV, Sudniks and stuff, it was perfect for that! Against infantry it was like a firecracker.

I hope if you get the round within 5m of him he well die or be seriously wounded. It's like that in real life. If you want to get rid of retards running across streets in the open then the GL is the way to go.

You would think twice before leaving cover like that if you knew an M203 could do that type of damage. That's why it's important to suppress first.

I think the nade launcher is fine as well as the grenades, if I see someone in a building I can use it to clear a wall, a lot of the time I can shoot at the person, force them into cover and then blow it away with a nade or something, they work very well for area denial and as a complementary tool

not a primary weapon like in BF2, where is was screw the guns just get out the nades and chuck chuck chuck

Please, please stop using this argument. Just because that's how real life weapons work doesn't mean it will translate properly to an arcade video game environment. Look at MW2, sure the launchers are powerful, but you just see people running around shooting them with little regard to realism.

I'd be fine with more powerful launchers if you were limited to one or two and were forced to aim down the sights and stop moving to fire them. It would allow players like you to use them properly and effectively, and would drastically reduce spam.

More powerful grenade launchers just means kids (or me, I do some hardcore trolling in MW2 with an assault rifle + grenade launcher + thumper ) can go around doing 360s, jumping up and down, firing off nukes to ever corner of the map.

                      Or BF2... yea I won't go there.

COD grenade launchers are realistic. Except for the fact you can fire them so accurately while moving.

Otherwise damage and stuff is pretty good. It's that easy to kill somebody in real life, the only problem would be it's not practical because people don't run around like that in real life. And when they do it's with tons of 7.62x51mm flying over their heads as cover fire.

Because people don't play like they would in real life, and because the game is not designed to simulate real life, the grenade launchers should not simulate the actual damage they would cause in real life.
