I'll be willing to bet it'll be modern-era. I'd be surprised if it were anything else, TBH. But I'd certainly welcome another full-fledged WW2 BF game; all the things that made 1942 great combined with the machine capabilities that make a modern FPS great. Could be pretty damn sweet. :thumbsup:

A hit register that actually registers.

Better graphics.

Customizable kits.

The ability to dive under the water for a set amount of time (i.e. breath limit).

A new com system where if something's spotted it's only called out ONCE and if a target isn't successfully spotted it's not called out at all.

Damn I'd play medic with shotgun constantly.

If it supports 40v40 players, it better be balanced for it too (64 player BF2 maps are usually very spammy and you don't get anywhere unless it's vehicle heavy).

You dont need great graphics for this, in comparison to other things graphics are not that important - although naturally I would expect the game to have next gen graphics.

I never said "great" I said better... Something similar to CoD4 would be suffice.

For me personally I preffer games with good graphics, I wouldn't have paid for a decent computer if I didn't want to use it :)

• Up to 72-80 player servers, but I'd still be happy with 64.
• Diverse maps in different settings
• IO/transports only/vehicles options
• No "upgrades" like in 2142, only alternatives to the stock weapons/kit. I hated having to unlock basic stuff like nades and sprint, and stuff like the 4 rocket magazine had no drawback.
• 5-6 classes
• Shoulder-launched AA
• Vehicles that don't magically appear on the minimap when an enemy bails out

So true, good graphics can make a great game better, but great graphics can't save a bad game.

Well i want infantry to be a part of the game although i dont play vehicles much at all in BF2 i would still want them in BF3 or its not battlefield!

Hit boxes that work!

For me they just need to take bf2 and bring it up to date etc and a karkand v2 along with more intense city maps YES OK im an infantry whore!

I would really like to see a new game mode or two added to BF3. IMO Titan mode in 2142 is fantastic, I wish they would use this as a template and make some sort of new objective/flag combo mode for BF3. Conquest is OK, but after having played it in 1942, Vietnam, 2 and 2142 and all their expansions some new twists to the formula would be greatly appreciated. :)
