Yep but it is Frostbite 1.5 not 2.0 so my theory is still alive. Frostbite 2 is BF3 and beyond(with no DX9/XP support). AMD says BC2 Q1/2010 and Frostbite 2.0 2010.
The updated chart from AMD is here:
The headline should be "BF3: sooner than you think"
If you see yourself inside a game then you're simply deluding yourself, it's just a game... and even the realistic ones are always a far cry from the real thing.
that's the point... the more HUD and arcadish features is like having [THIS IS JUST A BOOK] reminders after each word in a book.
Bf3 for every console, but not a single port there, do it like id and simply develop them on all plattforms the same time.
You can't make an awesome PC game with lots of content, and amazing graphics, work on a obsolete gaming systems, such as the current gen consoles. Maybe if PS4 and XBox 640 comes out. If they do I hope they cost $800+ so everyone decides to get a PC instead.
-no automated scanning systems (i.e. omnipotent spotting, uavs, etc.)
-no red dot on the radar when you fire
-proper AA. Despite the fact that I loved being a helo/jet whore in BF2, it was always unfair due to the poor AA.
-lack of gimmicks. Just give me a good game without trying to sell it to me with a bunch of useless features.
that's the point... the more HUD and arcadish features is like having [THIS IS JUST A BOOK] reminders after each word in a book.
It's so annoying when people go on about realism in these games. If the game were realistic, you would get one life per game you bought. ONE LIFE. Once you die, the game is over and you can't play anymore.
Doesn't that sound like fun?
Furthermore, ff realism always makes games more fun, like you claim it does, why don't you just go join the military and instead? Nothing is more realistic (and therefore more fun) than reality.
