Yeah, screw that torrent, it's not downloading anything. Should be on Games on Net soon, but I'm waiting in Fileplanet's line at the moment.

I have to agree. What aspects were you disapointed at?

I wanted to like this game so much and loved all the trailers and followed it very well. Everything I had seen made me want this game so much. When I finally got the play it I was so disappointing. The movement was clunky, the voiceovers were god awful and the AI was just stupid. I think I just prefer other shooters like CSS over these realism ones though.

Some people like arcade fps while others like realistic shooters. That is why I am going to try out the demo before I spend 50 dollars on a game I might not even like.

Well I was finaly able to test the demo out but only for a short time. Graphics are good. It will have a high learning curve if you have never played this type of game before, which I haven't. Some of the voice acting was horrible. It is not a game you can just pick up and play. I will put more time into the demo this weekend and report back.

Yea, there is something that ArmA/2 has that just annoys the hell out of me, I feel like an old man, obviously with the amount of gear troops wear its going to be more slow movements. However, feeling like you are lurching up and down everywhere just annoys me, same goes for the reload animations, you hardly see anything of the weapon, just the muzzle bobing up and down. The missions have little feel of a real direction, kills some bad guys, find some more, something blows up, there is no real communication on what is actually going on/objectives, just the terrible standard AI voices.
What makes even less sense to me is how using the zoom is much easier and effective than using the ironsights, so why would you ever use them?. The game as a whole just does give me immersion what so ever, It feels so awkward to move and no fluid movements at all. But thats just me, and as I disliked ArmA 1 even more than 2 it has got its improvements, its just not for me.

I understand how you can dislike the movement system. It is a little clunky, but that is indicative of real life. The lurching is a little sickening though.

The improvements in movement have made the game for me. I can now reload while walking, and change stance while reloading. Infantry handles much better in CQC. And the 'duck' feature while crouching is ingenious.

Nothing was more intense than a mission I was playing with four other people yesterday in the demo. We were seizing a Village in Utes, and we opened fire on some units 300m away. Eventually, those units started using LMGs to suppress us, and we found cover in ducking behind short rock walls, that aren't tall enough for cover via crouching.

Those PKM bullets flew straight over our heads, the sound of the supersonic 7.62 was deafening. My screen blurred and started shaking with those machinegunners suppressing me.

                        The immersion was incredible.

To duck while crouching (or even standing and walking), you simply look right at the ground. :)

Rambo, its DX9 of course. Framerates are quite good, even my Pentium 4 3.2GHz and 8800GT can run the game fluidly at my maximum resolution (1280x1024).
