Yeah, hopefully should get it tomorrow or Friday, looking forward to it Although, I am back to playing World in Conflict, will have to split my time. And AA3 is out today so will be playing that too. :wee:

i was going to pre-order, but i want to see if i can play the demo as it is a resource hungry game. im not looking for every the maxed out:cry:
just to play on normal with decent fps..:icon_clap:

i dont mind if i have to play it all on low, i did that with the first ArmA when i first got it.

for those of you who have pre-ordered it & get it on the 19th
a quick review would be nice.
let us know what your specs are & what sort of fps you are getting & if its as buggy as the German release & what you give it out of. :score:

I have near enough the same specs as you and I'm running at all high @ 1280*1024.

Haven't played much of it yet, I've just been messing round with the vehicles/weapons, but the graphics are very good!

So I bought it, it's still sitting here sealed, waiting to hear more from you guys before I decide to open it up and give it a whirl. Let's hear them opinions!

I think its awesome, although im playing it at 1440*900 everything on normal 100% fillrate and im getting about 20-30 fps, which i find is smooth.
I think i need more ram and to over clock my processor.

I found a few bugs but only 1 was mission breaking, only tried multiplayer a couple of times, there are lots of Co-op servers but like the original arma, the server lag like hell.

Patch 1.02 has been released http://www.arma2.com/support/updates...2.html?lang=en
downloading it now, save games are not compatible but it fixes some bugs and supposedly makes performance a bit better

What you need to do is go here

They are using the ARMA2-mark app. Scroll through and find a rig like yours and see how it scores. Then you will have a better idea.

what is the multi player side like, im not in to gaming against ai-zzzzzzzzzz
not my bag.

i cant find any reviews of that side of the game! quite a few vids of people messing around with the editor

ArmA 2 is not mainstream. PVP, or versing other players, only leads to unrealistic, arcade gameplay. The game is best played against AI.

ArmA 2 is not a fragfest. You have no real reason to desire playing against other people, apart from a slight lack of AI intelligence. PVP only leads to a misunderstanding of what this game is about.

ArmA 2 is about teamwork, and cooperating, hence why COOP is the most played mode.

If you don't like playing against AI because you want to kill humans, then you are into this game for all the wrong reasons.
