Apparently, rockets are nub. whats next, the pilum is so good against tanks? why not just say pilum users are noobs. or say gunship whores are noobs too because gunships are too strong against your measly buggy or something

Just suck it up, you died. get over it. get up and play, go kill that guy who rocketed you. get his tags...its a freakin game, why whine about one weapon.
You completely lost the point. You can't even compare the PK rockets to the Pilum. If the Pilum had a clip of 3 shots and splash damage that killed most vehicles within the range of it, then we're talking about a good comparison.

Field complains about the PK rockets because they slow down the game and it's easy to shell out massive amounts of damage with little effort. It doesn't have to be because he got killed by it one too many times.

I'm not saying PK rockets are overpowered or such, but it is a very easy weapon to use and it does make the game a bit more... boring. PK rockets are fine really in vehicle maps, assualt needs a little extra killing power because they can't deal with vehicles. In infantry maps, it's just so easy to spam at chokepoints and watch the points come rolling in. It's just sad when you look around you and see half the assault soldiers on your team shoot 3 rockets, reload, shoot 3 rockets, reload, shoot 3 rockets and so on

And yeah, you can use the rockets skillfully but why even bother when it's almost as effective to just spam them away. It's Battlefield 2142, not Spamfield 2142. I like it when people actually shoot at each other instead of killing them indirectly (rocket splash around a corner etc, nadespam)

Yeah basically like Field said... its just boring... I used to use them a lot, but then learned that its just a hell of a lot more fun without em... I mean, its like rdx whoring, or hacking for that matter, its just so easy what fun is it? I cant even tell you how many times ive been in a little gun fight with someone long range, or short for that matter, and they immediately give up and start pooping rockets out towards me. I just dont see how thats fun. Do you guys that like PK rockets also enjoy RDX whoring, and nade spamming? Those kills are just BORING and I dont get how people enjoy doing that... And in the case of field, because im the same way, when I get killed I want it to be for a legit reason, as in someone got the best of me, but when they are ****ting rockets from every angle that hardly sits well in my stomach. All in all, the overall fighting would be more intense without rockets, and actual skill would reign over the noobs.

Re: Why do Americans love PK-rockets so much?

I don't care if anyone calls me noobish over use of PK rockets, if I feel it will get me kills more effectively than using the rifle, I will use them. If I'm next to a supply crate in a good position? Get ready for some spam.

But I do think the NS magazine expansion is waaaaayyy overkill, especially since it has no drawbacks and doesn't take up a slot.

taking the conversation in another direction. What if i said i think that anyone who plays medic and camp g exclusively is a noob. The true skill class is the engineer.

the assault class can revive his friends, heal himself, has weapons for both short and long range against infantry, and gets a pistol on top of it all.

the engineer class gets a short range smg, an anti air or anti vehicle weapon and some mines.

the engineer class has to deal with vehicles, all of which can kill in one shot, and also deal with infantry at various ranges. All of this without the ability to heal oneself.

So you tell me. It's all about perspective.

I was actually going to suggest that if the PK's HAVE to be in the game, give them to engies... But the thing is, the crappiest player will be an assault soldier and fail miserably, but when it comes to using PK's he will shine like a bright star. Like I said before... its taking easy to the next level, and I dont see the fun in it.

wow selective memory and reading skills.
Yes I'm bad and it was a no rocket match... in our case it ended up being a no rockets no zog scrim.

Actually it was a few weeks ago I'll give you that, but as I recall after 3 or 4 rounds you = /rage quit or something.

As for the zog keep using it all you want. We've proven we don't need rockets but still we will continue to use them because we are noobs. If your more than 20m away your getting 4 in the face..... now that's what I call fun

I believe I understand Juno's point. "Skill, this, skill, that... blah-blah-blah". It all comes back to clicking a button. Where you're positioned, what stance you're currently in and what firing mode is being used are more important. The rest is click-click-click. :salute:

God, only complete idiots would say that. How do you think people distingiush good players from the average? Obviously some people are more skilled than others. Hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills FTW!

                    Definition
Hand-eye coordination is the ability of the vision system to coordinate the information received through the eyes to control, guide, and direct the hands in the accomplishment of a given task, such as handwriting or catching a ball. Hand-eye coordination uses the eyes to direct attention and the hands to execute a task.

Hand Eye Coordination is invaluable to athletes, gamers and computer users alike.

Just keep it civilised folks! This isn't directed to anyone special, but no personal attacks please. You don't have to resort to that to get your point across.

That's what i was trying to say.

And on another note, yes it makes the assualt class easier and faster skills. but by no way was i saying it makes it the best class class skillwise. Skill comes from other classes by a longshot. take for example the engineer class, yo have to master it..to be really good at it

Addendum'd. As good as Albert Pujols is, not even he could hit a home run with a roll of french bread. Without playing on equal footing equipment-wise there's no way to accurately tell who is the better player.
