PS re US pub servers, I love to play there, as the communication in squad play is usually much better, on EU servers there's hardly any communication. Unfortunaly a ping over 100 makes it hard to play succesfully.

That's DEFINITELY true. Any time I notice an American player in my squad on an EU server, they're far more vocal than the comparatively silent EU players, and a lot are far more objective orientated. I can't remember the last time I've heard an EU player use VOIP for one... although I guess language diversity might explain that.

having played on both US & European servers, i can't say that i've noticed a difference. i've seen a lot of threads about how most European players frown on the voss & pk rockets. yet, when i play on servers abroad, i see no difference in the play style. you have bad players, good players & great players. it doesn't seem to make a difference where you were born, as skill & style ranges from person to person.

as far as the voip communication goes, i have a theory. it does seem that most US servers have more talk going on that on European servers. in the US, we have 1 primary language, english. idk how well known english is used in Europe, but it doesn't seem fair to say that it would be the primary language, or that there would be any ONE primary language. you have many countries that speak several different languages. the players don't know who speaks what language & may not communicate based on that.

as a side note: i got bf2 reinstalled & working. i only played on 1 partial round on some server in the UK. there was EXCELLENT communication & teamwork going on. it definitely was more than i had been used to when playing outside the US

after playing this game for a long time, i can't agree with that generalization. i've seen some people who do nothing that shows they want to win.

You might have a point there; I regularly play on French servers like APO and they do communicate a bit more, but in French and I have difficulties following that, no preblems with German and English.

I must add to my embarrasment, I don't speak on VOIP as my family don't allow the noise in the living room where the computer is, so it might that other players have the same. I love the communication on the US server squads, it really is a treat to hear info where the enemy is and attacking the flag in coordination with the others. And that's where I got my 55 kill streak, I got revived for a full 20 minutes :thumbsup::salute:
