Ive only had 2 non responsive errors and 1 video memory crash, but its a very very good game, although, i rather suck at the campaign, its about 1775 and Ive only conquered 4 regions in America, and my prestige is about 1/6th of everyone else

I just started the prologue and am at Jamestown. Too bad you couldnt be the indians and wipe those settlers off the planet. That would have changed a lot of things.

Then again, maybe not.

I bought the special forces on steam and was given Rome TW to play until the release. Its fun too

I haven't had any problems with the game

finally attacked the French, my experienced Colonial army wiped out the French Indian levees, along with a second stack I have taken all of Frances Canadian and American colonies in the North East

alas they have been pushing South West across America so I need to venture in that direction in order to destroy their Army

1st rates, heavy first rates and steamships own! I took my 20ship fleet and destroyed everything the French threw at me in the English channel as well as those dam spanish

LOL, how funny. It was a motto during the revolutionary war. I dont know who made the motto, but Ben Franklin made the first political cartoon about the Revolution with it. It was a snake broken into 13 sections representing the colonies.

The meaning of this flag is as followed:

1. Rattle snake: a specie which is prolific in American colonies at the time, and still does today. 13 colonies form a long strip along the East coast of the US today, which looks like a snake. When Ben Franklin heard that aristocrats from London wanted to exile felons to the colonies, he jokingly said that he'd send rattle snakes to England. In his political cartoon, American colonies are depicted as sections of a rattle snake, thus sending the signal: "Join or Die" when facing aristocrats and royals in London, who contempt the ruling class of colonies as common men (and slave owners) and can be taxed on their whim. So, after futile negotiations, Ben Franklin jumped the wagon to support independence, which pissed off his elder son who is a staunch royalist.

2. When threatened, rattle snakes will curl up like a spring, and attack, or counter attack, with their poisonous teeth with a sudden and fast thrust. The term "DON'T TREAD ON ME" reflects the natural behavior of rattle snakes, and is a clear signal to aristocrats and royals in London that the American rulin, uh, people, yeah, right, American people, except slaves and free blacks and none property owners and Irish and Catholics and Chinese and Indians and royalists, will bite back.

3. There are always 13 sections on the rattle snake's tail, symbolizing 13 colonies joining and will die together.

There are three rattle snake flags: Gadsden Flag, First Navy Flag and 1812 Veteran Exempts Flag. All used only while dealing hostility with brits before 9/11.

Didn't the 13 parts to the snake symbolize Ben Franklin's warning that if the colonies didn't work together, they'd be crushed - not that they will die together?

Whatever, that's beside the point. I'm thinking of getting the game, anybody care to convince me? <3

All of North America is now mine my allies the United Provinces have 3 regions in South America, but I have relieved the Spanish of all their colonies there; as I was doing that some rebels threw off their weakened Spanish rulers and Mexico was born!

A box came up telling me of this and asking, will I recognise their this new nation, looking at the army I had sent to take the region while it was still Spanish my reply was "**** off"

mwhahahahahahahahaha, took Egypt from the Otters as well, those camels wished they had never walked up to Royal Gaurd line infantry

India is also a fun place to fight

and heres a complimentary pic of my fleet sinking a Spanish 2nd rate while blowing up a galleon in the background

Is there good tactics to blow ships up because i find the battles too hard(esp pirates)

Also what makes more money?I have ships in the trade spots but do i just keep them there or sail home?

Do you just sail up and invade india?im 1712 atm and the cost of things everythings going rather slow.getting around 4000$ a round

I had over 20 crashes tho:crysave every 5 minutes lol)

Some people dont like the turned based/RTS style games. Ive loved them since Romance of the Three Kingdoms for Nintendo. If youve played any other TW, its close to those and then some. So if you like that, get it. If not, get the demo then get it

Blowing up ships is somewhat rare unless you have massive gun superiority, or perhaps get a lucky shot

for instance if my enemy has sloops a short bombardment from a superior ship blows them to pieces

In the screenshot the ship that was exploding was a Spanish Galleon or a 4th rate, which had been pounded to hell and had caught on fire, I blew up the last Spanish galleon by getting a bow to stern broadside on it with my 2nd rate (front to back not across the side)

blowing up ships will happen if you have number and gun superiority, especially if you have larger ships, otherwise they usually sink

for naval battles, group up your ships, arrange them into a line (or a few lines) and keep them moving and leave them on auto fire, you just need to look after their move patterns

as for India, I have gone there quite late, as I was tied up for a long time in America and keeping my Navy up, now I have control of America I have a ton of money and can afford multiple high end stacks and huge Navies

I spent my early game staying out of major conflicts, taking Indian settlements in America and building up my economy and research back home, upgrade your farms and production buildings, and get trade deals with as many nations as you can (upgrade commercial ports as well)

and if possible send a few trade ships to the trade theatres

Hmmmm, I'm thinking about getting it. My only problem is I'm terribly bad at the land battle in the demo.

Gah! I got to about 1750 as Poland-Lith, save file must have corrupted or something as it crashes every time I load Oh well time to sweep Europe as Russia :)
