I use it so that noobs don't force tk. Also sometimes I use it to take flags, lol but the other team has to REALLY suck for that to happen. Also if you take it and hover at the beach on Oman at like 300 - 400 feet you can shoot down choppers if the other team's pilots and gunners suck and your team has the 4 shore flags.

In combat I meant. You can take off of cap flags with it, but it's not much use in a dogfight.

Plus I mean, cmon the F35 has VTOL. You'd have to imagine that was implemented at the expense of performance in other areas.

It's a game. Giving the F35 VTOL capabilities is no reason to hinder the jet's performance.

Ever think the VTOL capabilities was implemented because, well, the F35s actually have that in real life and they wanted to include F35s in the game? Would it still be an F35 if it didn't have VTOL?

Besides, it's a game. Shouldn't the USMC be using the M40 instead of the M24? Shouldn't the SCAR-H only hold 20 rounds per magazine? Why is the M11-87 pump-action in-game when it's semi-auto in real life? You get my point. /rant

Not necessarily. I gotta admit that if two average players get into F35vsJ10, the J10 would undoubtedly win, but if you know how to handle the f35 you will realize it has some advantages over J10 and skilled F35vsJ10 fight is all based on luck.

I know most advantages, I know how to run away from J10 missiles and I know how to kill J10 but when equally skilled pilot is in J10 (and he knows that a good pilot is in F35) you will never win. I am talking about team benefit here. If you score 30 points in F35 with 0 deaths and J10 scores 70 points who is winner here? Normally J10 will always help his team more than F35.

And yes I agree that J10 is a piece of crap :) Good pilots eventually start flying F35 mostly because it gives you a good challenge.

really good thread here! im with whoever said, why not bump the f35 up a little instead of reduce j10 down. but EA just needs to know,not everyone is like sky_lady and have mastered how to evade j10s. every once in while ill get on a roll and evade j10s like its nothin,but not to often.would u guys agree though,that that is probably the hardest thing to do in the game?evade j10s?

I have no problem using either jet I went 82-2 yesterday using a F-35. J-10 flown by anyone can be a great weapon, but F-35 has such big hitboxes you have to be careful not be shot down.

I would rather have the F-35 hitboxes decreased then have the J-10 changed in any way. If any of you played a map called "Wake Air Show". You will see that any other jet then F-35 against a J-10 is fair game.

ROFL I played against sky_lady before.
All he/she does is pull up to 4000 ft like all F35 pilots avoiding the J-10.

There's no imbalance BETWEEN jets, but there is imbalance in jets vs. everything else.
You need little experience in jets to rape everything else in the game if you are playing unopposed.

If they are going to nerf it, nerf all the damn jets. Or give the chopper pilot AA missiles
