Can you guys stop talking about sky_lady as if he/she is some jet god. I flew with her many times and all she does to dodge is the same repetitive thing of waiting till missiles get close, flare and then go to 1000+ altitude and repeat all that crap again.

      But it works...

That's like saying "All the guy does is wait till I am like 1m in range, switches to gunner as he backs up and shoots so when he kills me I'm out of range to hit him"

Yea but its not like we got a choice when you get a packed chopper only server and all you see is "switch to gunner, shoot, switch to pilot, move in/out, repeat".

Just fix the J10 hit box (make it bigger). I have played this game since the first day the demo came out. It has been nurfed so much they need to call it BattleField Nurfed 2.

The biggest nurf is the the Blackhawk. It used to be something, now it's guns are useless. Songhua Stalemate used to be fun but now that map is hardly ever played because the main point to that map was flag hoping in the Blackhawk.

Songhua and Mashtuur sucked for China and MEC. I think the BH is fine the way it is now.
It is what it is supposed to be: a transport helo, not an attack helo.

There's a difference between coming toward the enemy and shooting when you're close enough as a solo pilot (what I described above) and ranging.

Ranging is JamesDownes99 style. Whenever you come into contact with another chopper, back up until you reach the end of the map, and keep backing up until the other chopper eventually gets so sick of waiting for you to even attempt to engage them that they will charge you. Then pull back furiously and shoot at about 480m away and hope the opponent doesn't have time to stop.

                  :the more you know:

I dunno fellas, I've flown against the best pilot I've ever gone against ||3RB|| M0BB and while he was tough to kill in an F35, I could get him.

The real teller is that he, in an F35 would end up with a 20-2 or 20-0 record in an F35 on Dalian. But in a J10 he'd end up with a 45-0 record or something to that effect. The J10's turning radius is so much tighter, it's a huge advantage.

I'm a fairly decent pilot, but hardly the best, and I can do well in any jet, but no doubt on the planet the J10 is over-powered. Obviously the best would be to reduce the F35 hitbox ever so slightly, but they wont do that, so I guess decreasing the J10 turn radius is the next best thing. But it's going to switch the balance of power to the unhittable F18 on maps like Daquing Oil Fields

Yes I agree with him, M0BB was definitely a skilled pilot, someone who can spank sky_lady with one hand behind his back (don't know if he uses stick/mouse). I flown against him as well and he evades the real way of getting you lost in your own trail and end up switching to 3rd,4th,5th camera views and still having a hard time tracking him.

On another note: DICE promised 1.5 before Christmas, well looks life they failed yet again.

J10 is faster at lower altitudes, has a much tighter turn radius both horizontally and vertically and 5 seconds more of afterburner use. Oh yeah, it can also 'evade' missiles at a ridiculous rate, which the F35 cannot. Yeah, there's no imbalance at all. I am left to believe that in order for someone to come to such a ridiculous conclusion they're either mentally disabled or they're aware of the imbalance, they just think they're hot **** in a jet and created this thread to brag indirectly about how good they are.

Balance out? How? The F35 is more responsive and has the highest roll rate of all the jets. This means nothing against a J10 unless it's a VERY close engagement. The F35 is faster at high altitudes, ie can stratorun. So can the J10, not as fast but the extra afterburner makes up for that. I have had rounds where I have out flown the hell out of a J10, fired over 30 missiles at them and not one hits but the one time they chance upon me in a vulnerable situation, 2 missiles, dead. They are not balanced. Competant, equally skilled pilots in each jet, J10 wins every time.

Truth. Fact of the matter is, a top pilot in an F35 can have trouble downing average J10 pilots due to the obvious imbalance.

Time in X jet is not required to see the blatantly obvious imbalance between the two.

lol? [sarcasm]Yeah, it's sooooooo much easier to MG a jet that is faster than you and turns harder than you.[/sarcasm] It's the other way around. Superior speed, superior turn radius = ease in gaining a lead and using guns in a tight turn. If you were referring to the stability of the F35, sure it's easier while MG'ing clueless pilots who have no idea you're behind them. What about those pilots that have a clue?

As others have mentioned, sky_lady has mastered stalling and bailing when flares fail, not evasion.

It really doesn't work as often as advertised, if you catch them low and make them flare early, it doesn't matter how high they go, the missiles will get them. What most people don't realize, the key to surviving in the F35 is to never lose control of your plane. If you watch their videos, in one you'll even see where it doesn't work and they bail and parachute across the map back to the carrier. Some evasion...

Fact of the matter is there is and always has been a major imbalance between the two jets. Competant pilots can close the gap by flying smart and using good tactics. But like I said earlier, even the best pilots can have trouble with average J10's due to the big differences between the two. I am amazed that some people can't see it, or want to flaunt their ego as a pilot by saying there is no imbalance when there obviously is(The OP). I wouldn't care if the J10 kept it's speed and turn radius so long as it could get hit consistently by missiles, which in my opinion is the biggest imbalance between the two.

I don't have the time right now to respond to everything, but I do want to add that on most maps the J10s spawn at capable flags while the F35s are always on the uncapable carrier.

Uhhh, mastered? I don't understand how someone can master this when it requires common sense of what happens at high altitude for jets in BF2. The strange thing is that whenever I do it in pubs, the person chasing me is 95% of the time saying that I'm hacking because you can't control the jet like over 800 or 700 depending on map. I've actually been banned twice for this because admins actually believe the **** that comes out of their mouth.

Sure flying F35 when a noob takes 1st j10 on wake is a dream but if a competent pilot takes j10, f35 wont have much chance raping spawn area :p Once in a while yes but prepare to have a hard, hard round surviving... :)
