Hmm that's interesting considering I play crysis on ym 1.83 ghz dual core,never had any issues with tf2 either.

I'm betting it will be a non issue.

Well, again, there's probably a lot more CPU being used here for all the AI than Crysis. Crysis is a memory and video card hog. AI in this is a hog.

The CPU requirements are considerably more strict, as mentioned.

And to give some perspective on the power of a Pentium 4 compared to a modern processor you can have a look at the table here. At the bottom you can find the P4 @ 2.8 GHz and Amd64X2, while the P4 3.8 GHz which is above min req is a little higher up but still way below all Core2 processors. Rest of article is in French, but it's not important :)

I will wait till EA decides to make the PS3 version for the game then, because no pc upgrades are happening here anytime soon.

When you're playing single player I guess you will need quite a nice CPU, but If you're just going to be playing it online wouldn't the server be doing most of the AI processing?

Seems like that would be true, but I don't know how server hosting will work. Although that seems like the most logical way.

It runs really well on my machine, I think probs medium settings but it still looked great! No lag really either!

Running at 1024x768 all high 2x AA bloom a few others

8600gt
3Gb RAM

Runs fine.
