Re: If BF2 and COD4 had intercourse...
The number of game software customers goes down every time they raise the bar on graphics. Most of the people i know in gaming cant play anything thats come out in the last 2 years. And all of them have machines barely 2-3 years old! And none are planning to upgrade anytime soon. In their minds they just bought these machines and they still work fine. And these machines were almost not good enough from the day they bought them, because of how fast technology is advancing and how quickly software requirements are rising.
If game makers think the majority of gamers will go out and pay for a new machine every years or so, they are dreaming!!!
You want to sell use software, make it for machines we own already. Or find a way to lower the price of machines. Even that EA's deal of 699$ for a Crysis worthy machine is too high to expect your average gamer to upgrade every year or so. Especially for nothing more than fancy graphics that havent improved the games at all. Infact games seem to be going down hill gameplay wise.
