There's no such rig that will play Crysis seamlessly with high settings.. Certainly not one for $1200 XD If BF3 comes out with graphics like that the server lobby will be empty just like crysis..

Lol Payed for my PC $1200 HD4870 Q9300 ASUS P5E Premium OCZ 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ RAPTOR 150GB 10k rpm, runs crysis on Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit Full AA DX10 maxed out settings 1680x1050, so I don't know what makes you think you need to pay $3000.

Unless you are rich enough you dont build and buy PC from DELL HP GATEWAY or ALIENWARE which is the biggest waste of money.

yea but PS3 doesn't run 64man servers. that's what it all comes down to for PC BF games. its the main reason why a game might not run that great.

How powerful is the Cell anyways, compared to like, a Core 2 Duo or something?

There were very few computers that could play BF2 on high at good resolutions when it came out. Thousands of people played it on low/medium settings, and I think you'll find quite a few still do today.

I want BF3 to have the best graphics it can, I don't care if I have to play on lower settings. I want the game to last a long time, like BF2 has. I don't want a game that looks old and outdated a year or two after it's released.

I did sya it would look fine with slightly improved CoD4 style graphics.. That's hardly going to be outdated in 1-2 years..

Exactly. People have no reason to complain over crysis' high system req's. The game developers even said that we will not be able to casually play crysis on highest settings for a few years. Until then, play it on low/medium, it wont kill you!
