I'm pretty sure I posted this up a few minutes ago but it doesn't seem show up, so if it does, sorry about the double post.

I recently started playing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Too bad there aren't as many people playing it as BF2 or 2142, but it's quite enjoyable :)

All the battlefield ive tried ive liked... so with this info i went and bought 2142. Now after playing 2142 i think ill throw it onto the fire next winter

The majority haven't even played 2142 and thinks it sucks anyway because they've heard rumours that it would suck :p

Seriously, half the people I meet think that 2142 suck and 95% of those haven't tried it :/

CoD4.. It's a lot more of an intense fast paced game and VERY addictive..

not saying its worse, because im sick of the 2 vs 2142 discussion and wish we could all just get along but 2142 is meh. if you played one there is no point playing the other. If you like modern war then go BF2, if you like the future concept, play BF2142. Its all a matter of preference, not necesarily which is better, though i do hear that 2142 is more balanced but its easy to adapt to 2.

I'd plan to pickup the new verion of AIX when it is released. It's a free mod for BF2 and I've spent 4X the time playing it as I have vanilla BF2. There's hundreds of maps available and the gameplay is a little faster than vanilla.

The new version will release after the official 1.5 patch and includes new aircraft: Pave Low, a new attack helo, the air superiority version of the SR71 and the Firefox fictional aircraft. There's a new VTOL for the MEC and an amphibious plane for the Chinese. Also, the Sukhoi SU-47 Berkut makes a debut and she's a beauty.



There will be persistent ranking for players of AIX 2.0 on all ranked servers. And, some special un-announced fun with that, too.

It's coming as soon as EA DICE releases the 1.5 patch and the devs have a chance to make sure it's not going to break all their hard work. After the recent news about PB Bans being hacked and rendered ineffective, I'm sure they are going to have to make some changes... Stay tuned.

Oh, Crysis Wars ships with Crysis Warhead on the 18th/19th of September. Rumor control has it that this will be a great multiplayer game. We'll have to see...
