Sure, there are plenty of modern warfare games. Compared to WWII games, however, a smaller percentage of them make it mainstream and are actually enjoyable to play. Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 4 are the only real "big time" modern warfare games in recent memory.

Besides, DICE are going back to WWII with BF Heroes. I doubt they'll be doing the same with BF3.

So Tokyo Game Show started today and EA is there. But i doubt they will announce it :/

I dont think it will be out until more players are running BF2 on newer, better machines. There are still lots of players who are playing BF2 on older laggy machines, that barely run it. How are they gonna run BF3, when many can hardly run Bf2 still.

My guess is, atleast another year, maybe more.

it'll come out when it's ready. no need to rush things (2142). they are also probably waiting to apply everything they learned from bad company. hope they don't make the same mistakes as before.

Dice has repeatedly stated that a new Battlefield game for the "hardcore PC gamer" is currently in the works. People are just referring to it as "BF3". I'm betting it will be something along the lines of Bad Company/BF2 but I doubt it will be named "Battlefield 3".

We are all awaiting the next Battlefield game, I started on 1942's release on some really underpowered PC driven with a dialup connection as many of you might have done. I am in line with a majority of you anticipating, drooling over what the next release may bring to the table.

A lot of us like to ***** about the faults and troubles we face after each and every patch release, regardless we are all standing in line waiting, waiting for the next BF title! WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE OUT!!!!!? well folks we just have to wait, no matter how big of a monster EA "may" be maybe they have learned/listened to us and are waiting to make sure that they release a more polished product this time around.

Would be nice to think frostbite will come to pc, its hard to say really but im sure DICE have something up their sleeve for pc. I do think WW" has been done to death though. Heck my first pc game was medal of honour ! haha

Anyone else feel that games are released the moment you forget about them? Just forget about bf3, when its released, its released.
