At your first point, unlike most other games hardly any of the servers have the rules in their name so you load up thinking its a nilla' server and getting bombarded by rules that you didt know you have to play by. This annoys me. I just spent the last 40~secs loading a map where i think i can go and play and instantly im limited.

Oh come on. You take the Blackhawk nerf to be DICE saying "we don't intend this to be a team game"?

"No fighting commanders" UNLESS it is Karkand. Commanders should do their job, especially when other players are willing to command properly. I just hate it when a commander is flying a jet/chopper - or uses the assetts for his own personal gain.
I disagree. In real life, commanders do fight and they do roll with their squads and I like to keep that realism level up in game.

Umm, are you really going to start that sh!t?

No, in "real life" commanders aren't assigned by squad members, hell, there aren't even "commanders." In real life the positions similar to commander don't place artillery willy nilly, and in REAL FREAKING LIFE "commanders" communicate with the squad and do their best to provide intel.
The people who control artillery, fly UAVs, etc. are all stationed away from the immediate battle.

Seriously, this realism bullsh!t is starting to piss me off. BF2 never was, and never will be realistic. Waaah, don't bother bringing PR into this. And hell! Even if it was, who cares what happens in real life?! This is BF2!

You have to take into account that commanders in real life have years of training. The commanders in BF2 just point and click while watching TV.

I am going to start that "sh!t" as your incorrect, and Im gonna set you in your place.

You want to place a bet on that? I am retired US Army son. Commander can be anything from a Squad Leader to a officer to a Gen. I was a commander in Iraq and I was with my men on the frontlines and I lost some too (See Post in Off topic for more info). Commanders DO INDEED call in fire support and Close Air Support and Drone (UAV) on the frontlines IN BATTLE. Commanders in BF2 do intel by spotting targets and calling in support, drones, etc. If you still want to be a tool, watch "Over There" or "Generation Kill"

I like fighting commanders. Rambo Commanders that is.

Really though, games with rules are gay. Rules get set when people don't know how to combat a tactic. BF2 is an arcade game, and if people choose to bunny hop, you just have to make sure your bomber's ordinance hits them. End of story.

Server that say - you can't go into the UCP and blow up toys, and steal a jet - violate the ROE - especially if they enforce this with a kick/ban. Why do they not get shutdown I wonder....

Your immaturity to add me to xfire just to mention that you replied to my "sh!t" (quote) post just furthers your hard-headedness.

While I do respect our soldiers, bringing up the fact that you were out fighting for our country is in NO way relevant to BF2 and how it should be played. If you're going to compare BF2 to reality, start with the unrealistic gunplay, the poor vehicle physics, etc.

I have plenty of friends and relatives who have fought in the war, and just because you did as well does NOT mean you can talk down to me like I am your subordinate. Get off your f*cking throne and open your mind! Jesus man. Your failed attempts to be emotionally appealing further emphasize your lack of proper logic - because hey, if you can't win with logic, win through emotional appeal.

I'm not here to fight, but just because you had experience in the military does not make you the spokesperson for comparing reality vs. BF2 - and it does NOT give you the right to talk down to others.

If we are comparing BF2 to real life most entire maps would be considered the front lines anyway, so the point is moot.

                          Its. A. Game.

BF2 never claimed that the commander role was the same thing as a real life commander. Realism my ***. Just because you fought in a war doesn't give you the right to be a d1ck to everyone about "realism".

In real life vehicles don't magically respawn and people don't get a second chance to get into the fight. What the **** are you guys talking about? Stop comparing it to real life!

If BF2 were real, the US team wouldn't be allowed to kill anyone and the Chinese team would be selling us inferior products for pennies. And I'm pretty sure that the MEC would be killing jews and cutting off clits.
