Me and my friend did this and the two of us combined took care of any armor problems that would require 3 or more demos to take care of. I simply paint the target and then he doesn't even have to be in the line of sight of the tank and simply fires a rocket which takes out the tank.

Sadly both classes are only usable in close range. I find the Specialist to be as capable as the demo in combat as he has more range and still can kill anyone really fast close up.
I realise what the specialist is for but like I said I don't need anyone to tag a tank for me to take them out. I'd rather have the other person doing something useful than have 2 of us trying to take out 1 tank when I can do it myself just as easy. It seems more of a gimmick than anything else.

Perhaps. But it promotes teamwork, and means that tank can be eradicated just that little bit easier.

        Exactly...

And you can't shoot the tank with the AT4 from behind cover(behind hill for example) without the tracer...

I still don't buy it I'm afraid. Given the Demolition class also carries mines you can force the enemy armour to where you want it then take it out (unless they decide to drive over them). If you have 2 demolition guys (rather than 1 demo guy and 1 specialist) then you can practically mine every entrance/road to your base on that demo map. Then any team mates can radio the demo guys to where they need help and then you got your teamwork Anyway it only takes a second to pop out from behind cover and shoot the tank and then hide again.

Few pointers(we speaking about the demo)...

            1) Some of us hasn't unlocked the mines.
            2) The VoIP doesn't work, so it's difficult to radio anyone to help

And if you pop up behind cover, that gives the tanks gunner time to take you out. But with the tracer, they wont even see where the missle came from.

              1. If you haven't unlocked the mines then you really need to as they're essential to the demolition class and you'll get loads of kills.
              2. If you don't have VOIP then how is the demo guy gonna know you've tagged the tank in the first place without watching you and the only way he can do that is when he's not totally behind cover.

The specialist can't be behind cover to tag the tank in the first place so he could easily be killed trying to do that. If you have 2 Demo guys rather than 1 demo and 1 specialist then you could surround the tank and destroy it before he could take you either of you out.

Either way, you're using two men, regardless of what class they each are. It's just as easy either way, it's merely a matter of preference. Plus, Specialists also have an equiv to C4, so they can set traps on things like bridges, and take out tactical points to stop the enemy's advance... albeit, somewhat ineffective in oasis, as tanks are now amphibious...

I didn't unlock the mines because i really don't play as demoliton that much.. I took Laser Designator, M95 and the adrealine injector.

                  2) When Specialist tags tank, there is that sound. "Transponder transmitting" or something similar. All you need to do as demolition guy, is bring the scope up and you can see the square where to lock on.

Besides, the AT4's are way too underpowered against tanks for you and your buddy to take out a tank without him nailing atleast one of you. Unless the driver is total n00b...

And top of that, one specialist can take out the tank by himself with the C4 he carries. Or if that doesn't work out, he can always jihad jeep his way to victory...

After everything, this thing comes down to personal preference. You might prefer 2 demolition guys, or 1 demo and one specialist...

Either way, when it comes to these two classes, hardware on the map better be ready...

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC

I wasn't reffering to you personally about the mines as I know you prefer sniping anyway. But what I meant was that anyone who plays the Demolition class should unlock the mines as they are an excellent choice for defense.

How is the M95 anyway? Is it like the BF2 one where the accuracy is horrible or is it as accurate as the bolt action?

We have an update coming soon so I'd expect some changes (if only minor) to some of the weaponry. Hopefully they will sort out the TK issue with the mines as well.

Yeah, if you like to play mostly demolition, then mines are a must for you...

The M95 is accurate, but in BF2 and in this(M24) the bolt actions are bit more accurate, but not much(my personal opinion). But the M95 has bit more zoom in the scope so basically it's perfect for shooting far.

I hope that the update has some fix to the mic problem...

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC

I never used my mic on the PC BFs, 1st of all I wasn't in a clan and 2nd of all my mic sucked and 3rd of all not many people spoke.

I love recon and demolition, I get so many good streaks. 18 kills without dying with sniper. Demolition I get loads of kills too. Not boasting but with that I'm usually around the top in the scoreboard at the end of the game. Yesterday 3 consecutive matches being 1st but then I left.

Oh yeah, I unlocked a sniper which I really don't like. It' s a smaller one which shoots far more but it doesn't do much damage. I regret unlcoking it. I really don't like it.

Btw when we get the full game, will we start from 0 as in ranks, unlocks you chose and points?

That's right, but we'll get the Uzi (Rank 4 unlock) as soon as we start. Besides, the other 7 maps might be entirely different styles of play. Were you on the beta, by any chance? And if so, could you tell us what the other two maps are like?

I was never on the beta. I know that there was another map called Ascension but I don't know anything else.
