Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC
I know specialist is only good at close range but support then owns assault at mid range. I think the only thing going for the assault is the fact that they have the grenade launcher to go through buildings and can heal themselves quickly. But they are beat in combat for every situation except for sometimes in the medium range area.Comment

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC
Right now I play as Recon since most of the new players just let me Head Shot them for +5 all night long. Went 18-0 and 16-0 last night. Most of the time I play Specialist when fighting to take Crates or defending them. Recon when I feel like plucking fools from afar. Support on infantry heavy levels like Ascension.Comment

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC
Today I went specialist because we were getting harmed by 2 tanks and 2 apc's. I marked everything and then was yelling at my teammates to just point at them to lock on and then fire in the air. Some of them where demolition I know because when I died I spawned next them. It was to no avail so I just went demo my self and took care of it so easily.Comment

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC
I was really annoyed today when i was playing...
I was playing as specialist. I tagged atleast one tank and one APC(i think i tagged enemy support dude accidentally too). And no one didn't lock onto them and destroy them...
So after i was caught by the APC, i spawned as demolition myself. The tank was already gone by then, and when i locked to the APC and fired, someone else apperantly destroyed it...
I was so pissed at that point, mainly because no one destroyed them earlier, and im sure that there was demolition guys around...
I just hope that DICE/EA will fix the mic problems ASAP, because you really can't communicate in this game right now... Atleast i haven't been able to do so properly...Comment

Re: Your Play Style/Roll in BFBC
I think the specialist is a bit of a useless class to be honest. I prefer the shotgun up close and I don't need someone to tag a tank for me so I can hit it with a rocket. I can do that quite well on my own. Overall I think the demolition class with mines is better for taking out vehicles than the specialist and unless there is some changes I can't see myself playing it at all.Comment

The specialist class is meant to team up with the demos to take out the tanks effortlessly and easily.Originally posted by BrokenMachineI think the specialist is a bit of a useless class to be honest. Me and my friend did this and the two of us combined took care of any armor problems that would require 3 or more demos to take care of. I simply paint the target and then he doesn't even have to be in the line of sight of the tank and simply fires a rocket which takes out the tank.
Sadly both classes are only usable in close range. I find the Specialist to be as capable as the demo in combat as he has more range and still can kill anyone really fast close up.Comment

Also, sometimes when I DO tag vehicles, I don't even get an assist for it. Sometimes, I get two assists for one vehicle...Originally posted by StoneCold313I was really annoyed today when i was playing...

Is the assist for helping destroy the vehicle, or help hit it? I've gotten the bonus after both...
And EA have never seemed to be big on VOIP, nobody used it in BF2/2142, everybody used Teamspeak or similar programmes...Comment

PC users generally don't like people they don't know, especially spazzy kids, yelling at them over VOIP. Most prefer server-specific TS, Vent, etc, so that they can control who's on.Originally posted by LimehouseAnd EA have never seemed to be big on VOIP, nobody used it in BF2/2142, everybody used Teamspeak or similar programmes...
I agree that it kinda sucks for teamwork, but all you have to do is read the complaints on Console forums about how annoying open VOIP is. If they want it to work, they've gotta make it much easier to selectively block/mute/filter out the clowns.Comment

I've gotten bonuses when demo's has destroyed the armor... Somekind of "Tracer assist bonus"... Im not sure you get points if they only hit that target...Originally posted by LimehouseAlso, sometimes when I DO tag vehicles, I don't even get an assist for it. It's bit easier for PC to set up different voice over... But since we are on consoles, mute feature would be definetly welcome... I've been listening some weird stuff ever since the demo was released. Just to mention few, there was one TK'er who had somekind of music playing. I closed my mic because i tought that would shut him up, but the music started to come from my TV next. So i had to change server.Originally posted by WhiskeyPC users generally don't like people they don't know, especially spazzy kids, yelling at them over VOIP. Second one worth mentioning would be 2 guys speaking French(apperantly), it wasn't as annoying as the music, but it would help to coordinate teamwork if i know what the heck you are talking about..
None of the VoIP sounds has been crystal clear in the demo. There is always static in them, some has more and some less...
So DICE needs to fix that when the game is released..
And the good thing in this is that there is some signs in the air that patch is coming...
