Just came back recently and started playing BF2 again as I needed a change from BF2142 where I had made BG long ago and level 55 on COD4 with 3 different players. AS I have played the last couple of weeks it seems as if there are more arsehats.... even among the top ranks with these clowns teamkilling for tanks, planes etc. and ruining game play for other players. We all know that new players make mistakes and have little etiquette but the experienced players with high ranks who totally disregard EA's ROE make game play a joke for the serious player.

Why don't the players that are only interested in stats and chaos go play on the stat padding servers and leave the legitimate players alone to enjoy the game!!! ( AS if my post will amount to anything more than being flamed )

it will last until bf3 unless that turns out to be a major flop which is possible considering their track record with support for games.

May even last longer if the BF3 release is filled with the same old "goodies" as 2142/Bf2. :p

With the latest **** fest with the stat system, I'd say Bf2's life expectancy just dropped dramatically. I care about a few parts of my stats, but there are many who play the game soley for them, so yeah, unless EA somehow figures out how to fix the rape fest of the leaderboards and everyones rankings in general, BF2 is in trouble.

The stats I care about are mainly kills and deaths in different vehicles and kits. The leaderboard hackers mean nothing to me

Nothing will live as long as CS did/does. CS, imo, is one of the most addicting and best FPSs ever graced gaming, even though I like AA a bit more.
It can be annoying and gay at times, but most of the times it`s fun as ****. CS is all about pure skill and will never die, NEVER I SAY.

Well with games like CoD4 and others around now i think most people are just playing them for a week and coming straight back to bf2. As already posted, i agree that BF2 should pretty much absorb the bf2/2142 playerbase

I really hope EA won't drop the support completely for BF2 once BF3 is out, that would be a shame. I still love all BF games and I would like to play them in the future as well.
