1000's of the top players accts hacked

Recently some lowlife scums have found a way to hack the stats system and have tacked on 16mil + points to every high ranked BF2 player. Now it appears EACS's response is to just reset everyone. I say if they are going to reset that many innocent players, reset everyone. Lets all start from scratch.....


This is complete BS that EA is just resetting people to 0. We had the top 8 players in our clan of 40+ get hit by this 16mil point deal. Now it looks like all EACS has done has reset everyone. 1000's of players that are among the most upstanding players. Look at the stats, it is quite obvious that they would not have done this. These 8 players in our clan never played on another server then our own Official BF2 Ranked server, that we have had since the game was released.

Congratulation EACS you played directly into the hands of the hackers. I am sure they are rolling on the floor and laughing at you.

I for one have been a member of many groups, that have tried to find and bring to the proper parties players that Hack/Glitch or cheat in any way violate the ROE. Our clan spends more time tracking down hackers and cheaters then playing at times. Now EACS has let us down. Complete BS.
We are about as anti hacking as can exist among any BF community.

Fool me once, shame on your....you will never fool me again EACS.

Wow...I'm really one of the last people in the world to care about stats, but you guys don't have to be total jerks to this guy, either. Some people have been using their same profile since day one and believe their stats and awards tell the story of their BF2 'career' - favourite vehicle, favourite kit, etc. and I could see how two years' worth of a profile going down the toilet could be aggrivating to some people. I mean it's great that you guys are all above stats and all, but you really don't have to be rude...

EA played directly into these scums hands by resetting all these clean players.
I am sure if you were a 3 star or better and had played on your acct for 3 years, or simply since the day BF2 was released. If you were that type of person you would care more.

If your were the type of person that spends just as many hours tracking down padders/hackers as you did playing and making sure hackers are banned from as many servers as possible. Then possibly you would care more.

We have done nothing more then try provide Ranked BF2 Servers that are free of padders and hackers, I have spent quite allot of my own money to provide this to the BF2 community, not to mention my personal time.

I remember in the day what this community was, if this is what this community is now, this is very sad.....

To the OP, its sad really, considering the large user base BF2 and EA had achieved, they are slowing destroying it themselves. Some were beyond loyal and others were casual.

I would consider it the dead-end of such players.

EA wouldn't give a damn anymore. As usual, they're focused on new developments like BFH and BF3. They don't get any money by fixing this, and they don't really expect any new sales from a 3 year old product; so in the end, they wouldn't give.

If my stats got reset I wouldn't really care; except if my unlocks were wiped off too. Other than that, you can reset my stats for all I care.

EA use to do something about the K&P servers, stat padding, now its slipping away. I see stat padding servers everywhere, but they don't seem to care. Reason of not caring I would guess is that BF3 will be out soon and people will quit playing bf2 for it.

I guess EA does not see that is why BF2142 was not the success it could have been. Poor support of BF2 and complete lack of caring. Why should I put out my own money for their next game when I can expect this kind of support again (read = abandonment).

This just seals it for me.

having ur stats re-set would suck.. but really.. who cares about stat padding? like honestly.. why would u?.. just dont go on their servers.. just because they stat pad doesnt mean their skill go's up.. their still going to get pwnd when they play against real players..
