Note that it doesn't say "Participating". It says PLAYING. Saying that a K/P Server isn't an inflated scoring scenario is bologna. Whether you are knifing or not, you are getting kills and points easier than if you were playing on a fully legit server.

Ahh...this is a very interesting point. To me, I'm not saying I'm right, but I would infer that "playing" means you are playing by the "rules" of that server. IE...if it's knife only, you play with only a knife, etc.

And again, I'm getting easier points only because they choose to arm themselves with only a knife. If engis armed with a Clark are constantly getting sniped, does that mean the sniper is getting inflated points?

Unfortunately, since they don't regulate their own servers, I get a feeling this whole 'knife' thing is a moot point.

When I send a ticket in, I get the canned message within 24 hours... I reply to the canned message asking for some real confirmation, and it normally comes within 48 hours. It can take over a week if you keep clarifying what you said, so try to be as thorough as possible as soon as possible for best results

This isn't an attack on anyone in particular, but servers that limit which weapons, vehicles, commander assets, etc... you can use are weak in my opinion. If you can't adapt and overcome the opposition without putting limits on what they can do you need to get some more practice.

It bugs me when titans can't be moved, but I accept that because I know of the technical impact it has on the game.

I did go on one server a few weeks ago that said "Use a SAAW - expect a kick". That really did puzzled me. Either the server is ran an populated by a bunch of fly-boy wh0res on in a previous life, they have been proper pwned by someone with a SAAW. As its quite a technical weapon to use - I just can't see the problem with it myself.

They are high ranked with the Gunship, and they do that by creating a very stacked play environment... the D2 people were like that. If you use a SAAW, you get kicked... If you shoot them down, you get kicked. If you get into a gunship before them, you get kicked. I just learn to avoid such servers.

According to EA, ranked servers can't enforce a knife only rule, so by saying that if you don't follow the "rule" of knife only, you aren't "playing" is just plain silly.

Ranking sucks anyway. I would love it if some Chinese hacker got into the ranking servers and totally wiped 'em out. :yay:

ranking is what keeps more then half the people on 2142 playing. i think its great its just abused a lot thats all

I've posted about those morons before. Specifically their leader Double Tap. Hardly a more ignorant and/or inept person has ever played this game. Keep their server empty and don't let those losers stat pad.

Playing for the stats can be fun as well. Don't think in Black and White.
Playing only for stats without having fun seems wrong though. But having fun improving your own stats... As long as it's fun you can't say that it isn't.
