Another legit use of a Jihad FAV is on a knife server with FF=OFF and lots of people hack-n-slay themselves at some flag.

Does RDX ramming bring down a walker? Yeah, of course.
What I'm saying is that if that is the only way your team can bring the walker down is by Jihading, your team is completely uncoordinated. A couple engis/recons with a good commander can take a walker down in no time on Camp G. The EU walker takes forever to re-spawn, so once it's down, you have oodles of time to do things before it's back. Why are you pissing around in the harbor?

PS....I hope it's not indicative of the L13 clan, but, your Kid Ghost today did nothing but RDX ram and base rape, when it was clearly stated in the server rules not to.

            Ghost? Silly Canadian :p

None of us truly "Represent" all of us. We all have different playing styles, different morales, different tolerance levels. If they want to get banned, thats their choice.

As for Jihading, thats EXACTLY what I meant. If Jihad is the only way your team can take down a walker, then you are uncoordinated. Why does baserape happen? Because a team is too uncoordinated to get out. So, NfB has a no baserape rule. Why? So the enemy team can regroup, and maybe break free. Does it happen often? No. If there is an enemy whoring the walker on the other side, and your team is too uncoordinated to act, what are they supposed to do? Sit there and get killed? Why do that when you can end it quickly, and painlessly? The FAV will respawn 30 seconds after Jihad, so you really aren't hurting your team at all... In fact, you helped it greatly by ridding the earth of the enemy walker.

Now for what you said: Only a truly desperate team would have to have a group of 3 Engies+Commander to take a walker down... Why waste the manpower (and the commander assets) when a one-man 1-minute plan can finish it off just as effectively? While those Engies are screwing with the walker, they could have been playing assault and taking the harbor. Instead of having your commander waste his orbital, you could have him use it to clear out the flag for the 3 Assault players. So say the Engies plus the commander are able to bring down the walker. Is the one recon who could have killed it going to be able to take on the entire enemy team and capture the flag? I don't think so. One plan = 1 Walker dead and one flag for your team, the other results in 1 walker dead and now you have the painful experience of having a bunch of engineers trying to take a fully guarded flag from the enemy team (who is more than likely playing assault :p)

Jihad is a quick, painless, effective way to take down an enemy asset and is basically risk-free. The worst thing that could happen is the FAV surviving the Jihad, cause then it will take another 30 seconds for it to die before it respawns. OH TEH NOES!!!111

Ahh....the arguments against jihad jeeps. Sorry, gotta weigh in on this one. I admit, I am a walker whore. I will also admit that I am not the best walker pilot. I am decent, just not a "pro".

Yes, jihad jeeps are dangerous, but a cowards way out (I know that it doesn't mean a tinker's damn to say that, just my own opinion). I have nothing but respect for a squad of engi's and or recon's. Its nothing to drive a jeep into something and blow it, no experience required, hell a newb can do that. A`squad that can work together, and coordinate with pilums, c4, and railguns......just gives a meaning to the word teamwork.

Yeah, yeah, I've read the arguments about saving time and manpower, but teamwork means more than that. If ya gotta resort to jihads, then that means that you have nothing else to go with. Just like ramming with gunships or transports, all just a last ditch effort. Our server is pretty much open, except for ramming aircraft, either into other aircraft or vehicles. Alas, they allow jihading though.

Like I said, this is just my two cents, so read it and ignore it.

Having a couple engis and/or recons plus commander take down a walker is desperation??? Have you played any other conquest maps? Where you have 3 tanks, 3 walkers, 2 APCs, and 2 gunships per side? That's desperation.
                  In CampG that's coordination.
There's a no base-rape rule so you don't spawn camp everyone there.
And....OS'ing the PAC Uncap is a quick, effective way of stopping them from coming out. Why isn't it allowed? If the PAC can RDX the EU walker, the EU should be able to OS the PAC uncap.

Yes, as a matter of fact I have played other conquest maps. I am a fully fledged, self proclaimed Gunship Whore. You hiding in your little walker? Then eat a TV missile and meet your maker. Its really that simple! There is NO desperation on a different conquest map, at least not when there is a gunship with my name on it. In the skies I am free to do whatever I want, to go wherever I want... A very small percentage of pilots are good enough to shoot me down, so I don't have to worry about that. A TV Missile screaming down from 200 Meters makes short work of any AA or Walker... Even the SAAW can't counter a smart pilot. Only you little people way below are in desperation... It might be hell down there, but from my point of view its free kills.

Camp G is the map I am talking about. Why is orbitaling the uncap a rule? I don't know. I'm not skates. Actually, I do know. Its because NfB likes to keep its servers populated, and to keep them populated you have to appeal to the noob population (approx. 90% of all 2142 players). The average noob will disconnect in frustration at the first sign of base rape, leaving NfB with an empty server. Thats why you can't orbital the uncap. You piss off the entire enemy team, and thus encouraging them to leave.

Now Jihading on the other hand... The enemy team loses its walker. How many people are ticked? 1, maybe 2 if the walker had a gunner. 1-2 people is no big loss, as has been shown by NfBs many Kickings and bannings.

So, using that logic we can determine that by allowing Jihading, you aren't hurting the server any more than by kicking those who jihad on said server. You would be permitting a tactic that does NOT, contarary to popular belief, waste a team asset. A tactic that does NOT empty servers any more than a walker whore would. A tactic that CAN be a poorly coordinated teams final resort.

                    Discuss.

More free press for our servers.:yay:

Yes, most of the rules on our servers are designed to keep them full and that must mean certain amounts of "protection" for the noobs as you guys like to call them. That is where the no base rape rule comes in to play. As for the no jihad, this is like a broken record. If you want to take down the walker, you don't need to waste time with a bunch of engi's. 1-2 supports with Emp nades and a recon with rdx or anyone in the rorsch will make quick work of the walker. Don't tell me that support players and recons are hard to find on Camp Gib. This does take teamwork, which is what we try to promote on our servers. Is jihad an effective tactic? Yes, and if you play us in TWL on a conquest map you will most likely get rdx rammed. If you aren't strong enough to push out of your uncap, we will enter it and rape you there too. But that is in competition which is a totaly different animal than the pubs.

And if you have a "poorly coordinated team" which does happen quite often in the pubs, rather than just becoming a lone wolf going for the gold, make a squad and get some guys in it. Talk to them and give them direction. It will make them into better players and make the game better and hopefully extend the life of the game.

hahahaha it just funny when ppl try and say that our servers consist of weak players. i didnt even know i was weak i thought i was pretty damn good and half the people in NfB are actually better then me. but egh think about it this way fing if theres so many noobs on our server why dont you help us own it up bro i mean if the players on there are so weak. also 1 thing we really try to do is seperate our own members to both teams so that they will be fair. 1 last thing if you people honestly hate our rules and they want them gone what do you think will honestly happen? Jihading base raping all that good stuff. most of you elite players out there wouldnt even come in anymore i bet because then you would be crying about how you cant do anything while on pac. IMO stop crying and plz just play the game.
P.S fing i dont think iv knifed you yet and Kaizer doesnt come in anymore so i cant knife him i want me some L13 blood on my blade(kinda sick of gettin shortys) lol

                          Errr... Fito...

Mr.Kaizer = Fingulfin :p Fin's stats were horrible due to this being my first Online FPS plus the fact that my computer and internet SUCKED. So when I upgraded my computer I deleted Fingulfin and created Kaizer...

Over TS I sound like I have multiple personality disorder, cause half my clan calls me Kaizer and the other half calls me Fin...

EDIT: Forgot to add to the topic.

Skates, how often have you been on PAC and for some reason they just CAN'T break through? The enemy team respects your rules and doesn't baserape, but you STILL can't get past the harbor. You get some guys into your squad, and try to have them follow orders but they can't/won't. This has happened to me so often, I get sick of it. Same concept applies for the walker and Jihading... Even if you can get the necessary 3 people to take it down, you are ignoring the fact that if one recon did it those three people could have been capping a flag. Besides, how many average pubbies do you see properly utilizing the EMP Grenades? Not many! Forcing people to take down a walker with Engies is a waste of time and tickets.

Saying that Jihading is not squad play is total BS. Say your squad is capturing the toll station. Over the UAV they see the enemy walker heading straight toward them, and can start to hear its stomping. A recon has five seconds left on his spawn timer... Whats the logical solution? Using VoIP, ask the recon to create a Jihad Jeep. The walker rounds the corner, and starts picking off your squad one by one. Jihad whooshes from your main, seconds later the walker is a pile of scrap metal. Your medics pick up your fallen squad mates, and you finish off the flag. This has happened to me COUNTLESS times (normally I'm the jihad'er though, and no, I don't do it on your server)... We were able to keep a flag, and the ticket value of the whole squad. In all honesty, I don't how you can say that Jihad is bad for a server...

i still dont get the reason you have an anti jihad rule. its rediculous. Like when i got banned out of the server i was wondering what in the hell i did. Using "teamwork" to take down a walker shouldnt really be an issue here, you just blow the thing up and then forget about it, everyone is on foot. next chapter.

actually you cant just say it that way field. Honestly in a TWL match if i have to get rid of a walker and we have no choice yes i will jihad. however theres no noobs as you put it in competative play, kaizer back me up on that 1. also dude you would have probably got the ban lifted but you took a wrong turn in Riverside so now your left in the cold .
