Do you mean unranked servers? Cause in those they can make whatever rules they want.
If you're talking about ranked servers, that's not a real rule, since EA doesn't allow knife-only ranked servers. I have loads of fun, if FF is off, just tossing grenades all around the map. :p

I have been kicked from so many ranked knife servers. I'm too lazy to report it to EA. I get the feeling they wouldn't do a thing about it anyway.

One time I got kicked from a server for typing "wtf, did you see that guy go flying across the map?" Didn't realize "wtf" wasn't aloud.

i got banned for typing wtf. but well i never play on that server as it appears to fill with aimbotters

You're right, EA won't do anything about it. But it's still fun, especially when there's no admin around.

played on a server named "german invasion" last night. The admin got knifed and within 2 minutes the server restarted. No guesses as to what happened there.

I noticed one particluar player named noob28 who had a score of 28/3 and was rdx hopping. I wasnt going to stand for that bs so i ran up to the chap and gave him a taste of his own medicine. Within a few seconds i was kicked for rdxing. The kick message was kicking xsl no rdx spam!... couldnt believe it

i promptly joined back and carried playing as normal giving the admins hell by wiping them out with the scar. then i see a message appear saying "no walker". Within a minute of this appearing along comes 2 of the gi clanmembers mowing down our infantry in a walker"!!! out comes my jihad walker to bring theirs to its knees. i brought a challenge to myslef to knife this noob28 chap to show him a lesson and to my luck i managed to knife the beggar as he was camo'd running along the catwalk on the left side of toll station..........................BOOM! SERVER RESTARTS MYSTERIOUSLY


by this point i was livid and let rip to the admin about unfair play and sportsmanship and for doing such a cowardice act all because he lost his tags. as usual the typical " im an admin i can do what i want" talk came out and i just left it at that and decided to sort him out again for his petty crime.

got the bugger 3 times next round to teach him a lesson!

another server i was in the other night was moders bravaria. They allow podsufing and couldnt believe the cheek the admins had. Either way they were awful as 3/4 of the server were podsurfing i was capping and killing. Came top of the round either way and showed them up:laugh:

so if you hate silly rules then avoid these two servers.
1. german invasion
2. moders bravaria

You're right, EA won't do anything about it. But it's still fun, especially when there's no admin around.

i avoid knife servers always.. for one they are illegal and secondly theres more skill in knifing on legit servers then running about like a fairy in the middle of fall of berlin knife padding:laugh:


add me ingame matey and come knifing on proper legit servers.

go to moders bravaira and you will see its still possible. they were even encouraging other players to do it by teaching them... it just provides an unfair advantage in my eyes and shouldnt be done.

as far as i know, yeah i dont think its possible to pod surf any good distance, but i went on this knife server yesterday, there were like 8 people on Fallof Berlin and this one guy was flying all over the map in an APC pod:shock::laugh:. A couple of times he actually swooped down at lighting speed, totally obliterated someone and kept on flying around:banana::rofl: it was one of the funniest things i had seen in a long time.

pod surfing being an unfair advantage is like Ted saying that Mike has an unfair advantage over Ted because Ted has down syndrome. Do you understand what im saying?? Something that everyone can do is not unfair. Someone that kills me close range with a clark vs. my AR isnt cheating because i can adapt to the situation and either keep my distance or use the same weapon that they are using.

By complaining about things like these you are basically encouraging everyone to be stupid and not be creative at all:|:. People win by being creative and outplaying others:|:

same here i was on a 24/7 Ca,p Gib server and i was knifing people like crazy and then out of nowhere the server restarts. at first i thought i was moved to the other side but no the whole thing started over, the good thing is i got lots of people's tags

theres nothing creative by podsurfing pal.....

theres also nothing creative about jumping around like a pansy in a knife server either.

its not a complaint as ea/dice intended for podsurfing to be stopped in 1.40

Pod surfing is seriously homersexual (note the r), it makes defending a line pointless since there is no defense. But then again, that's why dice tried to nurf it, and im glad for it.

bad players ruin the game for themselves. its up to you how fun your game is. not someone else. this is something i could never understand is people that will complain about a tactic someone usees and all they can do is just sit there, whine and cry about it and get owned.

I thought pod surfing was weak also and the game has been funner without it because people cant hide up on roofs so i can dome split them easier. Im just saying that you dont want people to play you so you need to have an open mind to things, this goes for any game.

I dont know what your talking about with "defending a line" thats kind of dull. You use your brain properly for the class that your using and you put an emphasis on using good positions and just taking out targets. that is it. you just want it to be easy i guess.
