Man, no love for the 74u

Well, I understand, its a 47 thread. But the recoil and power are so close and the bullets are interchangable.

But anyways, the 47 is a cool gun, but I like some of the others a bit better.

For some reason I have never used the 74u, except when I picked it up after using all my ammo for a quick 4 kills.

I have almost no experience with it, so I can't comment on its ability. Once I'm done with my MP5 Red tiger challenge, I'll give it a shot :)

IMO the AKS is same as the AK47 close up, but it lacks the precision at long ranges, which is offset by the increased mobility you get.

True, it is a "German" weapon: "Maschinenpistole 5" but it was made famous by the SAS and their raid against the Iranian embassy in London in 1980. Now, that was professionalism at it's highest!

Yeah...

That was me. If I am not mistaken, which I may be, you can walk over an AK47 and pick up its ammo when you have the 74U.

I could be wrong, a lot of bullet types to keep track of, but I could have sworn I did it the other day. It may have been another gun around I didnt notice.

I'm sure the AK-74U and AK-47 don't share ammo in game. It's like firing M16 5.56 NATO cartridges out of an M14 or G3 -- it doesn't happen. :)

Ive been playing with it more, since this thread came out, and I have to say it is VERY close to Baur. In fact, I think it is a bit more so than the MP44. But the 44 has a bit more power, so maybe it is truely the Baur.

All good except the Baur has long-range punch, superior semi-auto firing and one helleva recoil...
