BF or CoD knifing?

Hey ppl,

Just interrested in knowing what most of you think of the knife in BF and CoD... what do you like most? In BF you switch to the knife as a normal weapon and to use your main weapon you have to switch back. In CoD you can't run around with your knife, it's more used as a "panic weapon".

imo it's alot easier to knife in CoD and it doesn't have that rush that I get when knifing people in BF, but perhaps it's just me.

So what do you like best? BF or CoD in terms of knifing?

(posting this on the CoD forum might give CoD an advantage in votes but whatever)

COD. You just won't run around with a knife. Plus.. far superior hit detection.

i totally agree, i hate the knife in COD4, it leads to there being NO CQC and the knife in this game sees to shoot you 10 feet forward giving you the knife kill, its bs.

Bah BF knife was so inaccurate if you would call it that it may take skill but i dont think it was done right. CoD knifing is fun and its cool when you suddenly smack somone in the face with it and laugh at there dead body.

it may be easier but it can somtimes be a real hard thing to do when you running around each other screaming and trying to stab each other :P

In BF2, its stupid to use a knife.
In COD4, its necessary to know how to use a knife.

It's not that hard to knife in BF, you just have to make sure your victim is in your knife crosshair or nothing happens. In CoD, as long as your victim is visible to you and within a meter you get a kill. Very handy at times :p

Not necessarily. Let's say you pop up behind 5 enemies. They haven't noticed you yet, and firing your weapon at them would perhaps kill 3 and then the other 2 would kill you.. You would have ran out of ammo anyway so you couldn't have defended yourself.

But with the knife, just walk up and chop chop chop chop chop 5 kill streak Without wasting ammo or causing the enemies around you to notice where you are. Also as a sniper in BF the knife is probably your lifesaver at many occasions.

In BF2 you sit there knifing the same guy 3 times, with smoke puffs coming off of him, and he doesn't die.

Knifing in CoD is like a hierarchy. The more experience you have, the better you'll be at determining when to knife, and at what distance.

cod has better hit detection witch helps.

bf2 can be bad bad at times,but you can use it multiple times(faster stab)

cod 4 if you miss the knife there is a delay before you can strike.

the cod 4 strike looks better aminated and very satisfying when you get stuck in a tight situation.

the knife is a just a great weapon,so im torn between the two games on witch i like the best.

but voted for cod 4 as i seem to get alot more knife kills with the 1st hit.

CoD4.
I`ve never liked knifes and such as separate weapons.
Bashing and CoD4 style knifing ftw.
I see CoD`s knife as more of a quick tool to be used in extremely close encounters which removes the whole jumping, shooting and all that dancing you usually get when the knife is a separate weapon you have to equip.

I voted BF2 but you can't beat the hit detection in CoD4 but the knife comes out like a can of mace to ward off an attacker whereas in BF2 it took some preparation to draw the knife and know your going for the kill.

I just love the BF way. Especially in BF2142. Dog tags FTW. Ya. I enjoy it. So much so, I have every =DiG= member's tags. I got banned from all their servers for it
