bf2 all the way. just last night me and a guy name moimoisan were having epic knife battles every time we ran into each other on sharqui. on cod you just have to get within 10 feet and hit the knife button VERY CONSOLISH. in bf2 if you see a guy coming at you with a knife out, you whip yours out and go at it. in cod, you cant tell so you just spray and pray with your P90. no fun at all. plus, on bf2 you can tea-bag for 15 seconds after you knife some noob!!!!!!

BF knife. CoD's knife is too easy, an instant one hit kill no matter what weapon you have out... fail. Plus, if you sneak up on someone to knife them and they just happen to turn around just before you slash they can slash and kill you no matter what weapon they have out. Okay, not likely, but gay.

Not to mention how it ruins the thought required in knifing. Rather than taking an exciting risk by drawing your knife and giving chase you simply walk in like normal and hit a button. There's no challenge and thrill technically having both a gun and a knife out, you don't get the fear of being caught with only a knife. It's just not even fun since it's too easy.

      Plus, dogtags were fun.

I wish people wouldn't complain about so much in CoD4, BF2 was ruined by EA/DICE nerfing whatever people complained about, and 2142 is coming close to the same. I don't want that to happen to this game.

I regularly get called a knife hacker on cod4.Whoever said bf2 knifing takes more skill has no skill at all,how does clicking the button multipe times skill. You miss the first knife in cod4 and you are royally screwed most of the time.

Also the cod4 animation is so much more better,i find no fun in poking someone with a knife,i wanna plunge that sucker in theri chest.

i really like the knife in cod4, i think its great how you just click the button to use it instead of selecting the weapon like in 2142/bf2

but as other people said, if you miss you are done, unless you are going at them from behind

Take all the knifes out, decreases the amount of tards running around trying to knife ppl and then flaming when they run into a wall of lead.

Also, it completely takes away the chance of you joining a random server, shooting someone then getting kicked with the message: 0nLy Us3 ur kn1f3zzz, retard!!!!!1111!

This post makes me think, why did we stop using bayonetts?
It looks kinda fancy when they run around with their gun drawn and holding a knife at the same time, Rambo style

I have thought about this alot lately, I think I am ready for "Pistol Whiping".
It just seams so much more natural to draw your dagle and crack someone's skull, rather than using your knife.

Its unbelievably easy to draw a knife in real life provided that your weapon is on a sling. It takes less than a second, to drop the rifle, grab the knife, and swipe with it.

it also takes under a second for your opponent to put your brains on the back wall

thats true, i mean trying to hit someone before they get within 15 feet of your body is quite hard, especially when they whip out there instant kill samurai sword.

i hate both...not a big fan of knifing. both are pretty unrealistic.

If you have someone 1-5 feet from you, it becomes quite hard to engage them in a standard firefight. As such, melee techniques become more useful. A buttstock to the face, or a knife through the neck. I wouldnt even want to imagine how hard it is to use a 1001mm long rifle in a close quarters combat situation.
