Is P90 Overpowered?

The only real thing i hate about the P90 is the fact that because it is so easy everyone is starting to use it and i feel the game is losing its variety in that aspect.

Ive only really just started using the p90 after putting down my much loved
g3 and my first impression is that it was really overpowerd but now that im using on different map im being killed more ofetn by targets at longer range. so in my opinion its fine as is.

This gun is too powerful

I take down P90's all the time with my G3.. The P90 is just as good as the person using it... as so with all the other weapon's..

I sometimes find the P90 overpowered when someone uses it well, but it really pisses me off in maps like Vacant where its nearly always constant CQC. But I do think that its pretty well balanced, not a real problem like 2142's Voss.

I actually don't get on very well with the P90, as a weapon it kinda bores me, im loving my AK74u right now. I'm pretty fond of my MP5 as well.

I don't think its hugely overpowered, in the same way i didn't mind the Voss users in 2142. I just use the weapons i like.

It isn't called a SMG for nothing! SMGs are designed to own in CQC and suck at the long range combat. Find them in the open and snipe/AK/GL/nade 'em. It's just that simple.

P90 is my fav gun, but it's not OP. Basically you can't take people at range unless:

1. They suck
2. Back is turned
3. They have a low-range weapon as well

Even if the prerequisites above are fulfilled, it's very easy for the guy with the rifle to out-gun you at range. Also, this gun has a pretty big reload time considering it's an SMG. I died quite a few times during my reload because it took so damn long, but it balances out the big clip size.

No its not and tbh im getting sick of the constant moaning about it! Ive never known so much bitching in a game before, its not just the p90, its lots of guns and tactics.

Myself and another clan mate love the p90, and get moaned at quite a bit for using it. To use it effectivly it does take some skill, its not as easy as everybody makes out. We proved this by making some of the moaners use the p90 with us and to say they got a raping puts it mildly.

Yes the gun has a large clip, but it needs this as its only really effective at close range and i loose out many times on the mid range battles.

Lets just say that the p90 is over powered, and its a noob gun. Why in the hell isnt everybody using it? if it has such an advantage why would anybody want to use anything else? Its in the game, its not cheating....
Becasue the fact is its not, yes it has its strenghts but it has many weaknesses, and this is why lots of people choose to use different weapons rather than the p90.

Indeed! Some people think that everytime you kill somebody you should be stood still aiming down your sight, its the whole shooting from the hip and dodging fire that people dont like. People have their own playing style, and everybody needs to accept this.

Lets just say there was no p90, there would be the same threads about the g36c as i can pretty much use the gun in the same way
