    Heres the facts.

For those who don't think its a "noob" class:
    Think about it.
Martyrdom is the only class where you don't have to do any work except die, where they release a magic grenade after shooting them in the face. How is that possible? There is no skill involved, end of story.

For those who do not die from Martyrdom:
Yes you do. If you truly don't, your either camping or not playing fast enough. Most players have a play style of actually moving forward in the front lines, either sprinting or even walking. But when you suddenly sprint over a body that has Martyrdom, exploding and killing you as soon as you see the grenade indicator, well then there is a problem.

It's not talking about when you knife someone or shoot someone close quarters and instantly see the grenade indicator, since those are easy to run away from. The main issue lies within the actual warning of the grenade indicator.

You should not have to treat every dead body as a live grenade, because if you think otherwise and walk anywhere near the grenade indicator.. you die instantly. If the indicator was increased, it would be easy to stop and turn around. Or even some cases, have the grenade explode without you dying instantly. An increased distance in the indicator won't effect thrown grenades, since you have to cook them anyways.

    Hopefully that clears things up

        Agreed 110%.

          Martydom is an exploit.

It exploits the stupidity of the victim. Thank you for admitting your problem, its the first and the hardest step.

It's a shame people can't discuss these gameplay issues & suggestions without resorting to insults. :|:

Damn, people will always have something negative to say about such a great game. I have a solution to your problems. If you don't like one thing about the game, don't play it. You just wasted your money on it. Does anyone remember how BF2 got so screwed up, because of people complaining about stupid sh!t? I do. I don't want a repeat here. So if you don't like it. Don't play!

Theres really nothing more constructive you can add, when the "opposition" consists of whining punks who think anything that kills them either has "homosexual tendencies" (AKA, is t3h the3y), is "cheap" or "overpowered".

Sorry, but the only way youre going to get killed with a Martydom perk, is when youre careless, and made a mistake.

I too get killed by Martydom, but only because of freak accidents, like getting stuck into a wall or behind a player.

The difference between you and me is, I see my mistake, I adapt, change and get better (13 hours of gameplay, and I already have an average of 2:1 KDR in Objective gamemode, Im new to COD franchise). You on the other hand, cry, moan and complain. At least do it constructively. Complaining about a perk that uses your own mistakes against you, isnt contructive, frankly, its sad and pathetic.

You know why I don't like this perk, because I always drop a nade before I die and it's not easy to do, but this doe it for you, pfft! BUT, I'm not complaining, learn to adjust, adapt and all is well. People need to just make their own game or stop complaining b/c there will never be a game, no matter how good, where people don't complain.

And a lot of people are countering that argument, quite intelligently, saying that it's not necessarily always a mistake made by the player, but that the perk itself may need some adjustment. Testing is one thing, but now that so many people are playing the game, you get a wider opinion. And a lot of people are finding it to be annoying.

It's not a black & white issue - there's substance to both viewpoints. Along with "whining punks", are people arrogantly stating that anyone who thinks Martyrdom isn't perfect right now as is, are stupid. Neither side is "right"...it's an issue to be discussed. Preferably without talking down to anyone.

I was going to think of something witty and smart. But all I can thing of is that we are playing the game. If IW changes it, then so be it. But don't ***** and complain until its "fixed" and it comes out worse. I seriously like this game. And me on a spree getting owned by some magical grenade? GREAT! Keeps me on my toes..so to speak.

Theres absolutely nothing intelligent in complaining over something that kills you because you made a "tactical error". Notice, the same people moan, whine, b!tch and cry for everything else there is.

Yesterday, I had a sound round in a Swedish server, we had all great fun. I was doing my usual "exploit the sh!t out of everything I can find" stunt, dropping claymore, using the G-Launcher, camping, you name it.

Logs in this fellow, who starts complaining every time he gets killed. He ran with a sniper rifle and complained about snipers, aswell.

How is Martydom unfair? The only defense the opposition has, is that you technically dont do "anything" to drop it and set it in motion. But technically, what do you do to avoid it? Hold down W key for a second. Martydom, aswell as Last Stand perks are avoided with ease. I cant remember not one instance where I thought Martydom was unfair, and Ive been killed by it fairly lot. Every last one of them was my mistake. And Im not a good player. It is amusing that the better players than me, who should make less mistakes, complain about a perk that has the potential to not to do any damage whatsoever, and that potential is tied to the stupidity of the player who gets caught into it.

Yeah, I could find a few things to complain about, but setting aside the negative emotions coming from being a sore loser, even the start-round grenade spam can be avoided simply by taking cover for 15 seconds... Or timing the run right.

Its people like these, who simply dislike anything that kills them, that break the game. You dont need to look far to see an example in the form of BF2...

I guess throwing random crap into a topic without reading the other postings is the best way to get 5000 postings.

I rather be killed by Martyrdom than Last Stand...it is just embarassing when that happens.

I read the first 2 pages. Noone who wanted Martydom nerfed, had a case. And thanks for noticing my post count, but seems like my posts (in this thread) are already filled with more content, than your one liner, wouldnt you agree?

EDIT: Out of those 5000 posts, about 3000 are responses to whiners and complainers, 1000 is solid and mindless spam, 1000 of them are "social" posts. Ive always had a soft spot for people who complain about anything they dislike. It has profound entertainment value.

Gee Whiz.................and I thought that the 'martrydom perk' was sort of an Anti-TeaBagging' option.......?

But, then again, if nobody TB'd then I guess you wouldn't need Martyrdom at all..................:)
