i'll certainly play on a server like that.
and proto, what is required to start a vent server? do i need a special computer? cause i jsut saw you said quad core, and i have that too

ANY computer can handle a vent server (when I say ANY I truly mean ANY). I myself host both a vent and a counter-strike source server and I see vast difference in the power they require.

Vent can be hosted on any computer, BUT you need a really good upload speed to avoid high pings.

I wasn't trying to persuade you not too...just giving ya a heads up that there 's another Oman server on par with the old Vagrant days. They don't kick for soloing as Lupine does it alot, but only when the pop is low... They will ban someone for redlining, but that's not the same as soloing for you choppa ho's. They expect players to respect others and that's why the redline thing, there's quite a few of regs who are good with the TV. several are on par with how you were on the v server. Just FYI...:salute:

As Doggie said, you don't need a special computer. But having a multi-core system helps, especially for me, because I'm Jewish.

Running a server isn't to hard itself, keeping it populated and free of tards is prob the toughest part.:salute:

Remember to apply for membership in the "Server Owners" group on this site, some of them will be able to help you out if you have any problems..

im sorry to sound like im piss on ytour bomfire but..

Servers are hard to get going, they usually empty each day it takes a while idling to get players, even longer on servers that arnt wake or karkand. That is why its ok for clans because enough to idle.

It takes a while to get a reputation, and regulars so you must keep your server up a long time to get a good audience

It's been awhile since I had my server but yea. Basically get familiar with the interface(bf2cc) and the provider will give you all your info to connect.

Then of course like said, get your buddies to help populate it and advertise. :salute:
