      -not spotting
      -not joining squads
-not giving decent orders (those Move to this location orders are usless pointwise)
      -not following orders
-not providing healing or reviving or resupplying or repairing

i can name much more, but the following 5 i felt are the most fundamental and important

          1. Not moving
          2. Not using the minimap
          3. Not spotting, even if you're not sure
          4. Running in a wide open area
          5. Not attempting to retake a back flag and base raping instead.

Well, since there you have a good reason in that case, you're still abiding by my tip...

Thinking that a full-speed hover tank will stop just because you get out.
I had a really long walk on the sloping terrain of Verdun before I learned that one

And one of the classics: Not learning to fly offline

...Oh, need to add one more to the "Don'ts": Don't frickin' punish for accidental T.K.'s, or for your own carelessness/ignorance!

as commander get in a walker and command a whole round without moving it whiles your team get baseraped over and over by a walker.XD i tk'ed him.or move the walker in enemy terretory without infanterie support and out of the walker to repair it. saw it happen way to much. walkers are supporting vehicles on city maps. they should make a hole in the enemies defencive line. and get a good squad following to break the line(s) in peaces. try to roadkill a engy who just placed a mm at his feet. and do not even think about placing a spawnbeacon beneath something. it wont work!!!!!! i just go to another squad/ make one if the squadleader does it and doesn't destroy it. or standing up if the enemies think your death(if you are in a bunch of people). go shotgun at a long range alwais use your pistol cuz it does way more damage.

Sounds strange, but I wasn't able to distinguish between friend and foe the first few rounds into the game.
Try not to parachute on top of others. I know it's unlikely, but you might actually kill them with your parachute.
Don't let yourself get spawnraped. While spawnraping is fun being the active part, being the passive part sucks.

                          Do's:
                          (1) When you're gunner in someone's gunship, don't fire the damn gun at an enemy gunship right off the bat. You're just giving away your position and ruining the element of surprise. Instead, spot the gunship for your pilot and wait for him to start firing those missiles. THEN you can lay it on 'em.

                          (2) Revive people when you can, but make sure the area is clear enough to do so without getting yourself killed. So if someone just died, kill the person who killed them first, then revive.

                          (3) Be a team player. Teamwork can win or lose the round. You see the gunship? Spot it if you're on the ground or wherever. Spot APC'S and tanks as well. Support or Assault? Resupply and heal those around you. Those health and ammo boxes aren't in your kit just for you.

                          (4) Don't bunch up. I can't stress this enough, do not bunch up. This is at it's worst when people are defending the Titan's consoles and they bunch up in the corridor. One lucky grenade gets in there and it'll kill you all. Fan out and separate.

                          (5) Explosives have splash damage. Use it. If someone is hiding behind something for cover, shoot something else near them above/below/behind them and the splash will do the rest. Also, grenades bounce, let them ricochet into areas you don't want to get into but you want your grenades to be.

                          Don'ts:
                          (1) Don't take your teammates' armor. If you see someone standing near a tank or apc or something and they're putting an infantry scanner or radar on it, don't take the damn armor. If they are smart enough to do what they are doing, they're probably better in it than you are anyway. This goes for other vehicles as well. For example, (this happens to me a lot...), if you spawn into an APC that is near a silo or something and it has only one person in it and they are in the secondary gunner seat, DON'T TAKE THE MF'ING APC. That has got to be the most idiotic thing that happens from your teammates, I swear it is. What's worse is the idiot that does it usually drives off into some motion mines (hence why the APC is further away from the silo, dur..).

                          (2) Don't overcrowd your own titan on defense when your team has no silos..

                          (3) Don't pod out of the damn transport ships if you are the pilot. You will most likely die anyway, so go down with your ship if you can't get away from whoever is shooting you. It really sucks spawning into a transport ship just in time to see the ground come up at you and bam, die again.

                          (4) Don't go trotting around on your own. Join a squad or create one. It's easier for the commander to organize everyone and it helps the team if you all work in a group. Which also means to stick with your squad and not just join a squad and go AWOL on your own.

                          (5) Don't take a gunship (or air transport for that matter) if you don't know how to fly in the first place.

You should always join a squad, that's a good advice.

When you ride with me in either a apc, car, transport or tank and you have a machine gun to use if there are no enemy to be seen or to shoot at dotn just sit there flipping the trigger because you are bored. Especially in the jeep as instead of quietly arriving and taking a base you loudly shout look out here we come to all and sundry.

                                - join a squad
                                - stay with the squad
                                - use ironsights/zoom when shooting
                                - crouch before shooting
                                - use the M and N-key for checking the map
                                - use your brain and don't go for kills only
                                - try to win the game not the next rank. r(ank will come on its own)
                                - support your team-mates (squad AND others around you)
                                - use the commo-rose (Q-key) to communicate
                                - even better use VOIP
                                - use the map to have a look where your team is, before spawning in
                                - do not engage senselessly if you are 1 vs 3 (wait for suport)
                                - learn strenghts and weaknesses of the different vehicles
