BF2142 Patch 1.4 - Out Now!

We're looking into this right now, and of course the first part of that is getting the incomplete file removed from large downloads. Given that the file size was different it's likely that the upload failed, something that's beyond my control. Fixing it isn't, at least.

Sincere apologies for any frustration the corrupt file caused, we're currently investigating that and any other issue reports on 1.4, I will keep you all informed.

Please do. Although I went and found the beta 3 patch and installed that.

I installed the beta2 patch. Will I need to install beta3? Any difference? Will it even install? Am I stuck with a total reinstall?

Anyone tried it yet? I'm gutted with the total lack of pod movement now, it's all over now, may it R.I.P.

Reminds me of BF2 when they stopped you jumping and throwing things, it was a feature I used alot to toss ammo/medic packs to higher places, and now I just find it a nuisance that I can no longer do that.

I dloaded from couple of different sources before i got it to work. www.speltorrents.se seeemed to have something wrong. The patch they had there patched me to 1.25 after a clean reinstall, even though the size was right etc.

I downloaded from i3d worked. played around 5 rounds. kit save worked no ctd and the clark is a monster.(love it) scar is alot better now. i stll like the baur over all.

Is there any 100% workable download to be found? I'd rather skip the hassle with incompelete patches.

The kit customization doesn't work. You get random crap you never chose or sometimes it just goes back to blank kits.

Update: A corrupt / incomplete installer seems to be going around. The file on FilePlanet seems to work and does update the game to v1.40

I could play without intsalling a patch as I had the beta already installed. I have been playing a few weeks now and last night when I logged in noticed many more servers available.

Kit saves is still iffy which is strange as this feature worked fine in 1.41 & 1.42

I think we need a load of new billboards (to replace all that Jay-Z crap) to remember all the great things in BF2 and BF2142 that DICE nuked.

One Last Try............

So now I uninstalled, reinstalled the game and NS. Then I went back to EA and downloaded the patch from multiplayUK. Fired up the game once again and it worked fine. Even a blind man stumbles over an acorn now and then.

Sometimes this game is a complete mystery to me. Guess I better start improving my computer skills.

I spent awhile trying to get the patch through EA Downloader, which for some reason seems not to be possible. I then used the MultiplayUK site and successfully downloaded the patch.
