BF2142 Patch 1.4 - Out Now!

We're looking into this right now, and of course the first part of that is getting the incomplete file removed from large downloads. Given that the file size was different it's likely that the upload failed, something that's beyond my control. Fixing it isn't, at least.

Sincere apologies for any frustration the corrupt file caused, we're currently investigating that and any other issue reports on 1.4, I will keep you all informed.

Well, the one from fileplanet didn't work either.
The filename is BF2142_update_1.40.exe. But when it starts to install it says it's updating to 1.25.

Oh hang on, if it tells you that it is updating to 1.25, maybe that is why, when I have 1.25, that it says I already have a newer version, because it ACTUALLY thinks it is installing 1.25, thus...... "Oh dude, you are up to date already", when in fact I am not.

i used the one from Fileplanet as well and did notice the 1.25 update notice despite the file name being 1.40. I updated and now have no servers that i can connect to. What is happening?

Maybe Dice also forgot to enable people to connect to normal servers as well (I would not be surprised), or the servers have not updated to 1.40 yet (Probably because of the lack of Fixing the server crashing in server updates, From what i here from Game admin's here in Australia).

EA screwed up the updating part in the patch...so no one download it and if you did you have to reinstall and wait till the fix the patch.

Worked flawlessly for me. Then again, I am not downloading from crappy EA or FilePlanet.
The game seems more deadly now with all the Clark-Guys running around.
All my favorite servers were full and running 1.40. So it's probably the US that's late about updating servers.

Can anyone that has found a mirror with the correct file, even the final release of the Beta post. I tried the one from hypernia and now am doing the complete re-install of the game....:shakehead:wall::cussing::censored:

Alright everyone, I know that this is exciting, but please stop posting just to flame EA/DICE. Please keep this on topic on the patch and issues resulting from the patch.

i start the game and it does say version 1.40 at the login screen. However i have zero servers no matter what my filters are set at. I find it really hard to believe that not one single server has patched. Anyone else in this situation?

Strange, when i take the same version filter off i can see a bunch of highway tampa servers with people on them. what the hell version did i get.

There is no correct mirror for the patch they are all wrong EA is fixing the patch update.
